    FedEx expedite going down ?

Yeah, something must be off with that load offer. As a van driver, the lowest a load would pay is $85 plus fuel surcharge on all miles, plus deadhead pay if applicable.

    Good bye

After almost 6 years at the Fed it was time for me to go. What a ride! When I started, I made money, well, lots of them. Then the powers to be decided that we should get a flat rate fuel surcharge instead of 100% of it. Took a hit there. Then later on came the flat rate instead of percentage...

What should a buyer look for when buying a used Sprinter?

I wouldn't buy a used sprinter without checking under the head cover for 'black death', and of course what others have mentioned. It is easy to do, just a few screws and the plastic cover comes off.

Fed Ex and can't see the forest for the trees

Gosh, another 'bash Phil' thread. Why don't you all move on and be happy with whatever carrier you are with. Phil was not happy where he was and he moved on. Why can't you move on with your lives and leave him alone? Is it so hard to understand that we all are different with different...

Can 18-wheel electric trucks be far off?

I wonder why this diesel/electric technology did not make its way on trucks yet. To me it seems like a better solution to what we have today. Posted with my Droid EO Forum App

    How low can they go

Jim, I know what you are saying about dedicated and flat rate. I think that for a reason or another the dedicated guy that usually does that load (it was an LG load) was not available and it was offered to other trucks. So my friend got it, and after that, the regular guy came available. Just...

    How low can they go

After declining rates and opportunities (possibly caused by flat rate trucks), this was the last straw for a TT contractor. This week he got an opportunity for a short load, accepted it and got it. 10 min later he got a call from FedEx that they took him off the load because they gave it to one...

    Sorry no good ............!

I tend to believe that this is just an urban legend. They make plenty on fuel alone. I would like to see some numbers though.

Are you talking of both pieces, including the round sat thing, or just the square, cell thing. I can't see how the round thing can get the satellite from under the seat. Posted with my Droid EO Forum App

It is a gps and cell transceiver for the qc. You get to send/receive messages even when you don't have clear view of the sky. Nice, but I wish it would boot up faster. I don't know if the slowness is related with the fact that it is running Windows, or just because it does a lot more than...

    Sorry no good ............!

Glad she is ok. Maybe the pump did malfunction. I am saying this since I tried it many times. I would put the thing in the tank, squeeze the lever and lock it squeezed, then turn around and start the pump, thinking that the fuel would start flowing. But no, the handle would shut off by itself...
