Barack Obama’s post-Democratic National Convention bounce in the polls appears to be slightly smaller than the norm of past conventions, and it's gradually depreciating.

The Gallup daily tracking poll has found that since the conclusion of the convention, Obama has risen 4 percentage points in the polls, to lead McCain 49 percent to 43 percent today. That's a slightly smaller uptick in the polls than the 5- to 6-point bounce earned by a typical party nominee, by Gallup’s measure, since 1964. Obama and McCain were evenly split at 45 percentage points apiece prior to the Democratic convention, according to Gallup.

From what I've read, McCain was fully informed regarding Palin's pregnant daughter and made her the VP choice anyway. Considering the forgiving nature of today's society, one would think that this would be dismissed as a family matter that is not relevant to the political issues at hand. How many parents of daughters heard of the Palins' situation on the news and thought "there but for the grace of God go we"?

Unfortunately, the mainstream media doesn't see it that way since it's the GOP candidate that's involved. The way these teenagers have been swarmed by the media is disgraceful. This girl isn't one of the Spears sisters bimbos trying their best to be on the cover of some supermarket tabloid every week. If the democrats want to try to make this unfortunate event an election issue, let them. Most of them would have had their daughter get an abortion and that would have been the end of it so the kids could have finished high school and gotten on with their lives. The Palins are pro-life and took the other direction, as was their choice. The effort by the media to make this a distraction simply underscores their prejudice toward the democrats in an undeniable and distasteful manner.

I agree, the repubs are trying to put together some mistake, and really isn’t the girl 17? If she was 14, then I would be concern but who really cares.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told ministry students at her former church that the United States sent troops to fight in the Iraq war on a "task that is from God."

In an address last June, the Republican vice presidential candidate also urged ministry students to pray for a plan to build a $30 billion natural gas pipeline in the state, calling it "God's will."

You need to dig a little deeper. The first really large scale slave trade (the Trans-Sahara Trade) was carried out by Arabs, and continued unabated for centuries. To this day the institution of slavery not only is recognized but is elaborately regulated by Sharia law. While slavery was widespread in both classical Christian and Islamic civilizations, it is to the credit of Christianity that the abolition movement took root in Great Britain, Western Europe, and the United States and brought an end to the buying and selling of human beings. But there were Arab Sultans some of whom owned thousands, even hundreds of thousands of slaves.

The Indian Ocean Slave Trade in the ninth century was carried out by both Arabs and Native Africans, some Muslim, some not, although most of the slaves themselves were Arabized Africans.

The first to begin the Atlantic Slave trade were the Portuguese and the Spanish, with France, England and the Netherlands quickly getting involved. Without question, the vast majority of slave ships covering the entire Atlantic Slave Trade period were owned and operated by the Dutch, not Jews (Sheesh, where do you get this stuff, from Louis Farrakhan?).

The Atlantic Slave Trade peaked in the 18th century when the largest number of slaves were captured and sold out of Africa. The Ashanti of Ghana and the Yoruba of Nigeria were the biggest winners of the slave trade, having nearly their entire economies based on capturing and selling slaves. When England abolished slavery in the early 1800's the King of Bonny (Nigeria) was outraged, stating that something cannot be abolished if it decreed by God.

And none of this even includes the domestic African slave industry. The East Africans, largely influenced and in some periods dominated by Islam, were ruthless in both the domestic and foreign slave trade.

The part that the Jews played in the slave trade is about on the same level that the Jews played in any kind of trade during the Anglo-Saxon world of the 15th through the 18th century, which is to say minuscule. Jews were not a major factor, and were only barely a minor factor, in any kind of international trade of the period with the possible exception of the diamond trade. There were thousands of slave ships operating during that period, and records show a grand total of 12 of those ships were operated or owned by Jews, and that they had very few slave trade runs per ship as compared to other ships. Don't give me the cop out response "read the protocols" because the answers are not in a fictish book that was created to counteract revolutionaraies in Russian. Everyone has a different take on the word Zionism, and it matters what yours is. Is it that they want to dominate the world and kill everyone? Is it that they want to create a system to counter the aliens who will be here in the next 20 years? Is it that they want to own the patent system of the EU so to control the inventions and put all of us back in the dark ages? With your knowledge of finding what is and what isn’t, you should not have a problem with this, so define it.

I do however agree with your Disney comments, I kind of know one of the execs of Disney where I used to work, he was clear what the purpose of the new disney was – to make money, “the hell with the brats” and since then I don’t care what dumb people think, child exploytation like the Hanna Montana cr*p is nothing but a form of slavery to me.

And the war in Iraq has little to do with oil for Israel. I don’t know about you but you need to go and talk to some Iraqis to see what they think, because if this was about Jewish domination of an Arab country, well tell you the truth that that is no way going on.

Oh and one last thing, if you are thinking about voting for Obama, or want to show all this cr*p about Palin or McCain because the real truth is that the republicans don't control the media, the media is on the side of Obama and the democrats. The democrats supported Slavery, they support terrorism of many sorts and undermine the security of the country by a lack of actions. So if you think that the dems are not part of the Zionist movement as I think you are defining it and you support them, they did fool you. Obama is closer to what you are getting at than what McCain/Palin could ever be.

That has been thier entire history and they STILL want to enslave people, this time an entire nation. Well Layout, I have a stupid question - what is the American dream?

I see Palin as 'the' example of American dream, not Obama.

I understand what others seem to think we need but the nation needs to grow up, we need to look beyond the words that were not a big deal 40 years ago but have been so stifling to free thought and speech.

We don't need to have this Euro-trash attitude or a candidate kowtowing to the EU elitist, we need leadership, we need people who represent real people, not elitism.

The real issues that we face all have to do with the need to return to land of opportunity, not a land of outcomes. We got to step forward, passed the class and race warfare to return to prosperity.

As one who wants to see real equality, real opportunity and real leadership, I have to say until we stop tolerating cr*p like the link below, we will never move forward.
