Here is the one we used to go to all the time down there. Even though the site lists major acts if I remember right they were open normal hours. Seemed like on weekends they had music most of the day. Not sure about weekdays. There used to be a decent barbecue place next door too.

Sitting at home dejected after discovering Ontario regs for logbooks is 9900# and not 12500# that I somehow thought it was. Puts the kaibash on box van I was going to buy  but now has me possibly doing the unthinkable ie: looking at Sprinters...:eek::eek:

No don't remember the name, but its the only major game in town. In fact I don't remember any others. The town is primarily made up of B&Bs, antique shops and tubing on the river. I think it is on the main road of Gruene. The last time I was there, they were filming a C&W music video. Don't remember the band. Dang, sure is a lot I don't remember. Gettin older!

Sorry for your dilemma, but it could be a blessing in disguise. I just added vibration dampeners to the one I have on order. I have until Wed. to make changes. Got the dealer lookn into the heavy duty front wheel bearing option.

Have you ever been to Cisco's. Best Mexican bakery/ breakfast. E 6th st east of 35. Been there since I think the 30s. The walls are covered with photos of musicians and politicians. LBJ used to go there a lot when he was in Austin.

I've been off the forum for a couple of days and while I'm reading the posts to catch up, I get the urge to get out my tire knocker and start knocking heads.

We all work with the best carrier in the business. Where else could you send an email to the owner and get an answer, much less call him on the phone and have him answer. Problems are taken care of promptly and fairly. John gives us that platform and he sure doesn't have to. We're a family and it's time we went back to acting like it. No one should be made to feel they can't post on this thread. It says "Banter" not "Bicker". I want to hear what everyone has to say, but if you disagree with someone, do it in a PM.

Family was the reason I've been off for a couple of days. Most of you know we lost one of our dogs to cancer on the 29th. Yesterday morning my mom passed away from cancer. Family is important to me right now, so let's play nice.

Steve we are sorry to hear about your loss.

We are in a little town just north of Tulsa, waiting on Dispatch to do what they do best and get us moving on a load. It's hot out here, so we are all hiding out in the AC. Hoping to get out of here soon.

Sure looks like something is brewing...sky's getting dark...put the truck in the garage just in case. I'm betting I won't be watering the garden today..

I used to live in San Antonio but no longer in Texas. Used to love going to Gruene spent some good times at both the dance hall and floating down the river. Not sure which place I consumed more beers, lol. The pics on the wall at cisco's sound familiar but I am not sure about the name. Maybe it was after the float trip so the memory is clouded.
