I've had 7 vans since 99 and live in Chicago,were snow and salt are a way of life.I've never had any rust issues with any fords or chevys.I try to get them washed once a month,this doesn't always happen with some of the drivers.Both my current vans have no rust and are 05 and 06.

What's Auto Zones warranty? if they sold ya the 1st one then it goes bad in 30 days and you give it back to auto zone as a core for the one you got now.I would think they would warranty the part? which would save you the price of the Alt.

I don't know much about Auto Zone,however the Alts at AdvanceAuto and Pep boys have a lifetime warranty.What i do is buy the new one and replace the old one while it's still good so you now have a good alt and belt with you so now all you need is to pay the labor for the repair,and a tow if need...

It's been alot longer then 2007 since Panther did the free DOT inspections,and yes you bring the weight ticket.When i first started you told them what your van could carry no weight ticket needed.My point was even if it's free i'm not drivivg 350 one way for a inspection i can have done 5 miles...

It was free at Panther,however the 330 mile dh into a area with 10-20 vans sitting around makes the 50.00$ a better bet.I still miss my free or 25$ and working on finding a local place to work with me.

I do it once a yr [panther] i can take 25$ if the T/A in Gary wil do it.They never use to do it but if they do it at one they generally stay uniform and do it across the board.

The truck stops by me won't do vans,but that was over 10 yrs ago last time i checked with them.The ford or chevy dealers don't have the forms,and if they did there gonna charge me an hour which around here [chicagoland] could be 108$ an hour.I do know of a place,that's 35$ but it's 200 miles...
