Am I the only one who thinks this is bull crap

Too hard to say without much more information. What type of vehicle, too much time off, over financed truck, truck with no generator, excessive deadhead, running for a budget carrier, lack of freight, and the list goes on. The fleet owner may need it for a variety of those reasons including...

The Perfect Company to Sign on With

Good post. All to often people enter with just too little knowledge about the business. Your post is a great reminder to new folks to really do your research.

    Everybody getting paid?

They really aren't. No different than a TV station that operates on revenue from advertisers. If there is a dispute with one of the advertisers, or even several, the TV station doesn't stop their ads/commercials. Enough complaints or the people stop buying, then the problem corrects itself.

Your Indiana Highway Safety Info Please?

I don't know if Indiana is the trendsetter or not, but I think you will see a little more deterioration in services because so many states are operating in the red. California comes mind.

    Bored

The economy will pick back up, but it won't be the result of a stimulas package. Adding 13 dollars a week or 25 dollars a week to the unemployed isn't likely to stimulate much of anything. Most of the money/payoffs if you will isn't set to be spent until 2010.

Hello I am wondering which company to put a truck on with?

No offense taken. I think you may be confusing negativity with reality. In the span of three days you have went from buying a truck to driving for a owner that has all the freight. I am not sure why the original question was asked "which is the best company ect"? That is why you received the...

    Frustration

Based on what I see as the current rates, I think the days of a 6k week consistently are slightly behind us for awhile. That applies to ALL vehicles regardless of size or anything else.

    Frustration

I am with the Colonel on this one. We did try it many years ago, but as mentioned, it was more madness than it was worth. I would go it alone and find my own loads, or hook on to a carrier that allows it. Even more so now because of the HOS regs.

    Frustration

I know what you mean. I don't think I could deal with it. Two ladies together (which we have done) is fine. They were in a relationship and that works. Two people that don't know each other........forget it.

Hello I am wondering which company to put a truck on with?

If as you state you know the "ups and downs" of the business, then you know NOT to enter the industry at this time. I think you already answered your own question. If you are just looking to travel, buy an RV. If your still wanting to enter, then drive a tractor. If you are still wanting to...

    Frustration

My hat is off to you. I don't have the patience for two separate people in a truck. That usually turns into two separate agendas. I only hire husband/wife or permanent partners for teams. If that isn't available, I would just park it and not worry about it. I think you would wind up spending...

Good News for Rig Master owners

Make no mistake about it, Ray is the best game in town on these. I have yet to have a truck go in there and come out without the problem fixed. Best in the business as far as I'm concerned. And speaking of belts, we had a truck there this week for belt replacement as part of our regular...

    T300 Mirror Heat Circuit

Since they aren't actually heated, it will bead off. Works well on a bathroom mirror as well. They won't steam up with this stuff.

    T300 Mirror Heat Circuit

Not sure on what the load is for the mirrors? In the past we would use RainX mirror/anti fog. It would last a pretty good while once applied. I think Glasswax has something simular as well. Keeps the ice from forming on them also. If going electirc, might be better to run a seperate line and a...

Your Thoughts About Going to California?

Ok...good to know. Our trucks have 06 engines or older. Even our 07's have 06 engines in them. So far, no problems out there. I could see the day they will let trucks in with a fee permit. Just for the privilege:rolleyes:

    Everybody getting paid?

Once it becomes a matter of public record, then you are good to post it. Keep in mind that when one files a lawsuit, you are alleging your complaint. Just because someone is sued, doesn't mean they are guilty. Once the case reaches closure, you then can take the verdict/resolution and make that...
