    Everybody getting paid?

It is tough call. Believe me, no one at EO condones a rip-off carrier. They have parted company with a few sponsors in the past because of it. Bottom line; there is a right way to do it. File a lawsuit to were it s public record in a court of law. Much like a class action lawsuit if it...

    Everybody getting paid?

I totally understand your point. But, the ways of the world dictate restraint unless EO started charging all the members a fee just to provide a defense fund against liable or other types of frivolous lawsuits. Have to remember that, it is a free site. If a carrier eventually gets sued, at that...

    Everybody getting paid?

The problem is simple. It would expose the site to unnecessary legal issues with just allowing one sided information. I believe Lawrence has addressed this several other times. From the websites position, they would have no way of knowing the actual facts until they were published as a matter...

    Everybody getting paid?

Remember, this isn't the place to get into what carriers are paying who. If you aren't getting paid, take it up with the carrier or get a attorney. No one here is going to help collect your money for you. Additionally, the site has no way of substantiating someones claim. It would just turn...

Your Thoughts About Going to California?

I don't think it is as much as a case of refusing to go to a particular area, as it has to do with price. We will go anywhere, just can't do it for a break even number or less. This is why some of the budget carriers are getting into trouble. They are losing their coverage ability as their...

    UN bailout

I know what you mean. I am still trying to figure out how the US is going to spend itself into prosperity.

    UN bailout

Just heard today the UN is requesting US bailout money. Roughly 5.5 billion for a first installment. Thought it might be untrue, but now heard it on two seperate news networks. Apparently China is pushing it the hardest stating the global recession was caused by the US, so we should pay for...

Other uses for an Expedite Truck

We did that many years ago when we were with a carrier that over populated and the economy tanked. We bought repos and converted them to flat bed tow trucks and resold them. Turned out to be a good thing at the time and kept everyone employed.

Your Thoughts About Going to California?

I am sure all of this will be followed by another bailout plan that moves the auto industry to CA. We have made quite a few runs out there with different trucks since the first of the year. So far, getting in and out isn't too bad. We did find that once again the CARB folks spent...

    warning warning warning

I find more often than not, that how one writes and conveys their thoughts usually mirrors the type of work they actually do. Not because someone misses a period, but how consistent they do it. Of course, we all know some do it intentionally or for attention. I believe that is why many...

    warning warning warning

Historically the budget/cheap carriers are the first to go. Some have fallen already. Just a matter of time for the others. They know who they are.

    Anyone moving

Had a truck out there briefly in LA and he said the one afternoon that he was there they (CARB police) came through and were writing tickets for the idling trucks. ANyone that had a APU running they didn't bother. Fine I believe he said was 300. Wasn't there long enough to know if they are...

What Does Your Carrier OWE You?

Excellent advice. One might be surprised how much difference that makes. We do it with our carrier's loads as well as the brokers we use on a regular basis.

    Where is Leo

Sometimes the EO madness can get hold of some. Sometimes it is good to take a little vacation. Make no mistake about it, both Leo and Greg brought a lot to the forum. Doesn't mean I agreed with everything posted, but I personally would like to see them return. After-all, a little banter is...

lease prchase cargo van or sprinter?

Might want to read back a ways in the forums. The first issue is that many carriers aren't putting on vans. There is a clue. Van freight is slow. Let me repeat that again. VAN FREIGHT IS SLOW. With regards to a lease purchase...........BAD IDEA. If you can't pay cash for one, go into carpet...

Wrap Me Up I'm Scared !!

I agree on the "Big Three" If one is completely reliant on them for freight, they were in trouble many months ago. "Never put all your eggs in one basket" One of the first lessons in financial security.
