Hey TJ959, I remember that one REALLY well. Let's see how well you do, remember the off the cuff remark "Kinda hurts my fingers" ?

Naw Rocket, don't work for me. I was not "INTO" Hendrix or any of that "Hippi" music.

It would be more like "I Get Around" The Beach Boys OR from my home town, "Sock It To Me Baby" by the most Detroit of all Detroit '60's bands, Mitch Rider and the Detroit Wheels!!!!

I love that "In Your Face Base" they used. Layoutshooter

I may be showing my age but lately this business has me feeling like the "MTA" by the Kinston Trio. I doubt very many folks remember that one.

As for the MTA, well as long as she shows up to hand you that lunch as you go by.......

DD... I got one for the Diva!

Bertha Butt Boogey

"I'll sock it to ya, Daddy!" :D

ROFL Tennesseahawk my hubby saws that is my song. He is always playing it here in the truck, laughin telling me that's me Bertha Butt! I think it has a lot to do with "the ground started shaken". heeheehee! OK, so I've put on a few pounds! lol:D

When Bertha got movin' her hips were hummin' in the wind,
The ground started shakin' - no grass grew where she'd been!
The music was poppin', the crowd had formed a ring,
Her sisters yelled, "Boogie, Bertha, do your thing!".

I suspected there were more than a few old duffers on here. I always wondered why they didn't pass him that nickel instead of a lunch?

Memphis Slim wrote it, BB King made it famous:

Everyday I've got DA Bluz (man)

Everyday, everyday I have da bluz (man)
Ooh everyday, everyday I have da bluz (man)
When you see me worryin' baby, yeah it's you I hate to lose

Whoa nobody loves me, nobody seems to care
Whoa nobody loves me, nobody seems to care
Well worries and trouble darling, babe you know I've had my share

-- solo --

Everyday, everyday, everyday, everyday
Everyday, everyday I have da bluz (man)
When you see me worryin' baby, yeah it's you I hate to lose

Whoa nobody loves me, nobody seems to care
Whoa nobody loves me, nobody seems to care
Well worries and trouble darling, babe you know I've had my share

thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

Of course mine would be the song called "The Streak"!:p

For quite a while Williams Gaming made "Wild Streak" slot machines using that theme song. The bonus round was seeing how long your streaker could run around collecting points before the cop got em! That was my favorite slot machine to play!!! What can I say?

Many songs come to mind - I think I'm telling my age!

Half heaven-half heartache by Gene Pitney
Can't get no satisfaction by Rolling Stones
Where or When by Dion

In our truck we have 2 theme songs. :D
Hal Ketchum, Mama Knows The Highway

Mama knows the highway by the songs
When she hears a good one, she always sings along
She don't ever worry 'bout what's gone
She says, "good country music will never steer you wrong

She talks to the truckers with the lights
Maybe just a little bit more on Saturday nights
She knows a good road to paradise
And that's just enough to keep the highway bright

Yeah,Mama knows the highway now by heart
She can see the rain before it starts
Looking clear through a windshield full of stars
Mama knows the highway now by heart

She can tell Wyoming by the wind
She can tell another trucker by the rig that he's in
She knows how to watch the river bends
She knows where the real South begins

Well, Mama knows the highway now by heart
She can see the rain before it starts
Looking clear through a windshield full of stars
Mama knows the highway now by heart

She can gauge a cafe just by looking at the sign
Little old places always share the grand design

Mama knows the highway now by heart
She can see the rain before it starts
Looking clear through a windshield full of stars
Mama knows the highway now by heart
Mama knows the highway now by heart
Mama knows the highway, yeah, yeah yeah
:p
