*need help* out of fuel!!!

Exactly...the scene that plays out in my mind....a young couple not knowing, thrown into a truck by some cheesy fleet owner with some cheesy carrier...
that said...Hope they can work their way out of their jam....
they thought they were getting great fuel mileage and just kept going...
Just like this guy I know that had to spend the night in the gas station. He could not go anywhere until he got some fuel..........
Yea, he thought he was getting great fuel milage out in the middle of nowhere.
It doesn't sound like they need money, just fuel.

I read the OP that they were ok for money, just that the gas station was closed.
Hopefully they are on their way now and will plan their routes using 24 hour gas stations in future.
Yes unfortunate. Since the first reply was well after the station opened, they should be on their way, hopefully without too much repercussions. A lesson from The School of Hard Knocks.
For me it's a matter of simply planning ahead. Before I roll out I know:
1- Do I have enough fuel to reach destination
2- Where is closest fuel stop from destination
3- If I can't reach destination, where are my fuel stops along the way, and where am I fueling.
And yes as EnglishLady said..."plan their routes using 24 hour gas stations in future."

.....and wife and kids are in the car trying to make it to my new job in the town where my mother is in the hospital dying of cancer etc etc etc.........
Sorry if this is a real plea for help, just couldn't help myself, but it looks as tho the 'give me a hand out' is makin an attempt at shifting to the digital age.
