I have only been to 2, both in PA. My 1st was the Beach Boys and Chicago, 2nd was Reo Speedwagon.

Jim said, in his day, he has been to many concerts - don't remember them but he is sure he had a great time. Rush was one.

Make love, not war!!:) :)

I didn't know that Kraig Allen did concerts, or I'd have tried to catch one :p

Frank Zappa, at a UW, Eau Claire gymnasium. It was an unseasonably hot spring in 1974. The gym or fieldhouse was 90 degrees inside, but what a show they put on. Napolean Murphy Brock was smokin'. Dion was the opening act and the crowd wasn't real receptive toward him, but I enjoyed his performance.

Tom Waits, when he could still sing. State Theater, Minneapolis; 1974 or 1975.

Tony Joe White, freebie, Lake Calhoun, Minneapolis. Fun show until the cops showed up.

I too missed the Kraig Allen tour.

I could have sworn I answered this a month ago but anyway the two best were Chicago and The Beach Boys at the Texas state fairgrounds in 1974 because they were the best then and Barry Manilow in Houston in 1977 because we had 3rd row seats and my date was the sophomore class president at my college and all the other guys were jealous.

Maybe not the BEST concert I've ever attended, but the one that I will never forget was in 1968 at the Atlanta stadium. Jimmy Hendrix and Vanilla Fudge. with a surprise performance by The Doors!!

Ditto on the cheap trick thing... I've seen em' around 7 or 8 times..best dollar for dollar show ever. David Bowie on the Modern Love tour was the best "show" I have ever seen. ELO back in 78' had the best stage with that giant space ship they came out of and played on top of.. way cool. Pink Floyd "Animals" tour was good also.
I have to say that any of the Springsteen shows were probably the most high energy I have seen. Iwish I could say something good about some of the new acts in the past 10 or 15 tears but sadly I can't.. except for maybe Kid Rock...he does a pretty good job.

The original Blues Brothers. What an incredible band they had behind them. I'll never forget Belushi sticking his head inside a column speaker while the band was jamming and his backflips.

I saw Jethro Tull 5 times, so I guess I have to choose them. The last time I went, in the late 80's, was probably the best.

The Who at the Silverdome. Not for the music, because no one sounded good there. But, for the experience. It was the first event at the Dome and being in a building with THAT many people, festival seating, and a full length cast on my right leg from a knee surgery 2 weeks prior, it was just an experience.
