    Pilot and showers

The 'worst loyalty program'? I disagree. TA, for instance, requires redemption of points by printing out a voucher at the kiosk, in increments of $5.00, and any unspent portion is forfeit. No, thanks, TA. Flying J sent me a coupon in the mail for $5.00 off, but when I wanted to use it...

    Exhibiting at the Wilmington Expo

Hopefully, one day you'll catch Jeanie cooking out, instead of snoozing! :)

    That I can agree with.

    Health and Fitness

Greg: no one is "at the mercy of the truck stops", ok? If food prep and/or storage is something you can't or won't do on the road, what's to stop you from patronizing a grocery store for prepared food? There are plenty of choices, even for restricted diets. Sure, it costs more, [but nutrition...

    Bentz is now spelled Bolt.....

Greg's point is a good one - wiring run through holes in metal should have grommets to protect the wiring. If I have a complaint, it's that the lighting is woefully inadequate in the sleeper & driver's seat [which is also the truck mfr's fault]. :(

    Health and Fitness

No formal program, but am maintaining health & fitness pretty well, using basic common sense & whatever I can scrounge up to 'exercise' with. [Which is mostly walking the dog, or dancing to music in the drivers' seat, and stretching in the bunk before getting out in the morning.] I eat pretty...

    All state express

Unless Pilot has begun charging for thier "Challenge" mag, there's a coupon in each one for a free fax. It's my preferred method for faxing. ;)

    How it should be

I thought so - but the only Fed who ever let me inside their truck was TeamCaffee, and that was years ago. And I didn't notice the QC, because I was in awe of the toaster, lol. [I love toast, but hate going to a sitdown place to order it to go, ok?] Now I have my own, and use it often.:D

    Looking to drive again

Personally, I wouldn't be offended at the requirement to go out with a trainer - especially just for a week. Things have changed, and I'd be happy for the chance to maybe learn something I didn't already know. Which is a LOT, lol ;)

Van - better more volume or more weight capacity?

Agree with Danny - ht is the more important criteria. I drive a D unit, but drove a van for a couple years, and am drawing on memory, in case you wondered. A favorite memory on topic is when dispatch [at ConWay Now] said there was a load leaving from the place I'd just delivered, but it was too...

    Ideas, anyone?

Guess we got different salespeople, eh? It's not what I wanted to hear, but I'm not gonna shoot the messenger - because you saved me a trip. And because you didn't get any either, lol. :p It's not a 'need right away' thing, just one more on my list - I'll get some one of these days. And now, on...

Van - better more volume or more weight capacity?

Seems a no brainer to me: weight will add stress to the suspension, transmission, etc, while volume [larger objects] that isn't heavy won't.

    April 2010 locations

Glad it's working for you, TJ. Also glad you're not hangin in Laredo - after you used the number 'dos' in a post, I was worried that you were forgetting that we speak English in the USA, lol. :p

    BlockBuster Express...

I sure hope the stand alone places hold out for a few more years, as my younger daughter is one of the college students Ark referred to, working there, [with a 2nd part time job as well.] I can't ever get enough speed to stream movies, but that's ok, I don't enjoy watching them on the 'puter...

Bob & Linder are a credit to expediting, EO, FedEx, and the world in general. They're who I wanna be when I grow up. :D

    How it should be

Sounds like the Clink is, like the QC, a major asset to the carrier, not so much to the person behind the wheel. Who pays for being beeped with inconsequential msgs [often at the precise time they've fallen asleep after driving all night to deliver early in the am ], while very important...

    Which GPS?

As mine doesn't have reverse directions either, if I haven't a specific destination in mind [after delivery], I just type in Walmart, or a bigbox place [Lowe's, KMart], or someplace I passed on the main road coming in [RiteAid, Meijer's] and it will get me there.

    i-80 in pa remains free

I still think we should be rebated for all the lane miles we're prohibited from using [but pay for anyhow].

    Ideas, anyone?

I was talking about load bars - the sleeves slide over them, allowing straps to be run back to front, or around freight between bars - just gives you more options than bars & straps. RLENT: I called Lodi, got a street address, and am familiar with Bellville. :)

Michelle Let the Cat Out of the Bag

In politics, more than anywhere, things are rarely totally black or white. All encompassing statements sound like dogma, and namecalling further diminishes one's credibility. The things I read here, from Americans:eek:, scare the stuffing out of me, because civility is nowhere in evidence, much...
