The guy that said this was driving a peterbilt semi that said leased to tristates that is why I asked. I found it's odd that is why I asked

Panther is going to be bought out by the Express 1 investers now lol! That is the new rumor, the black panther tail is going to be replaced with the devils tail!! Just kidding man!

Checking all the resources I use doing background checks in my PI business there is nothing filed in any court on this matter.
They are, like many companies, listed as a creditor in several filings by brokers etc seeking bankruptcy protection.
So please don't buy into the RUMORS they have filed....it is not true at this time and this kind of talk hurts a good company and the good people who own it....I drove for them years ago and enjoyed them....overall good people!

I wasn't trying to hurt or say anything negative but just asked because a driver with that company name said this

The "chatter" continues..I heard it this morning at the "J" in Knoxville...from a guy whos brother has 3 trucks with Tri-State.....chapter 13...oh and he also tossed in that Panther was filing within the net few weeks....:rolleyes:

Shows you what a "truckstop lawyer" knows; Chapter 13 is for personal reorganization, Chapter 11 is for businesses. Besides, truckstops are right up there with high schools as places where rumors spread like wildfire....

Actually, the name we are familiar with is in fact Tri State. tristates is prolly a different animal altogether. Suggest you check your reading comprehension skills a bit when reading the Company name on the truck. Then......ya won't hafta type BS.

My god I just asked a question. What do I have to be part of your pitiful gang to ask a question now ? seriously a man driving a truck with the company logos said it so I asked that was it. WTF Now if someone else was to have asked it may have been fine. LOL

Yah. Has little to do with WHO asks a question, in fact it is THE question. AND, your obvious lack of knowledge of the players in YOUR industry. Appears to me, you are spending waayyy to much time at the truck stops and not nearly enough time doing something else. This continues to be an entertaining site tho. So.......carry on.

I do know the players well in this industry and that is why I asked I was amazed that a large well respected company that does pay it's freight bills on time always and does maintain a great level of customer service could be hurting. That is why I asked.

Believe me, you will continue to be amazed (if not awed) daily in this business. Especially, if you take everything you pick at a truck stop as something to put in your tapes. I'm convinced from reading your posts that YOU, do in fact, NOT UNDERSTAND all you know about this business. There is a difference between "knowing" and "understanding"!!!!!
