They we're not cooperative at all!! I tried to get them to let me take it off the pallet but they said as is or nothing! And it was one giant piece so no loading by hand. I definitely would have done anything not to lose the load. But the shipper wouldn't let me!

I believe you. Sometimes either they don't want or it's impossible to break the pallet...

Sitting in Monroe MI at the TA. After a very long day at the shop and $926 we are back in service with all new rear brakes!! Calipers seized up and ruined the rotors, so had them completely rebuilt. Lifetime warranty, so at least we never have to pay for that again . Just pay labor and we're good to go! Really need a good week, or month, to pay for all this! Hopefully Monday will start a great week andthan Just keep on doing. Sure is getting tuff to keep going!
Hope to see you all soon! Stay safe out here!!

OK, so we went to Port Arthur, than picked up in Louisiana and back to Brownsville TX. Was having a great day pier fishing, butintrruptrd by those pesky dispatchers. They thought weshould be making money instead!! Well, who am I to argue with that?!
Than we picked up not far from Brownsville and went to Nissan in Smyrna TN.
Spent the weekend there and now headed to Davenport IA!!
Been a good run!! Hope it continues!!!
See y'all soon!!!

I am posting tbis for Don as he is currently out of commission and one handed. We had the start of a good day gone terribly bad. After picking up our load in Birmingham, everything went downhill FAST! Truck began to overheat causing us to stop. Don was trying to take care of it. The radiator cap blew off covering his right hand with boiling radiator fluid. As he ran back escaping the eruption, he slammed backwards into a concrete parking pole nearly knocking himself out. Needless to say, he was dazed for several minutes. He was taken by ambulance to Trinity Hospital where he was treated for heavy second degree burns to his right hand and severe back pain. His right hand is now completely wrapped in a burn bandage and we have made the trip home to get both Don and our truck well. Don has to follow-up with The Burn/Wound Clinic. We would appreciate your thoughts and prayers as he recovers. He is in excruciating pain that he has never experienced before and medications only seem to take the edge off. Bandages have to be changed 4-5 times a day which only seems to worsen the pain and the blisters. Again, thank you for your support and for following along as we live life on the road one day at a time.

Glad you are back online - have missed reading about your adventures! So you changed companies? From what I hear, Load 1 is the great. I hope you will be happy with them. ;)

I was just in Louisville for a week on a personal trip. It is a beautiful place! All of Kentucky was beautiful. We walked on the river walk and I wished my baby could have been there with me. So neat to see all the culture and art in the downtown area. Only bad thing, we stayed at the Brown hotel, and appearantly, it was haunted. LOL! At least the group I was with is convinced it was. We walked all over the downtown area and saw some interesting people too. Some that I don't ever want to see again! LOL!

Glad you are up and running again!

Welcome to Load One!

Now, as a person who has had severe burns before myself, a little advice. I'm sure the burn specialists have told you, but I want to emphasize it again. You can never "stretch" too much. As your skin heals, it has to be stretched constantly. Especially the fingers, wrist and elbow. If that skin is not stretched as it heals you can lose alot, if not all, of the movement. It can be painful, but you can handle it. You'll be happy you did one day when you meet someone who didn't do it.
