There are those of us that find repugnant these ISIS videos of people being burned to death or beheaded ...
And yet some will defend all manner of similar barbarity (or even worse) - provided that it's committed by the uniformed forces of their one, true god ... the State which they fawn over and worship with undying love ...

Clearly, the cognitive dissonance is so great as to be deafening ...

Even a preschooler could see it ... although the morally blind certainly can't ...

This response to the above caught my attention...

"Well you know, perhaps it wasn’t such a great idea for the US/NATO to have transported these extremist Sunnis from Aghanistan to Yemen to Libya to bump off Gadhafi, and then off to Syria to kill Assad. And of course, to provide them air support everywhere we use them.
You do realize who these guys are, right? You do know these guys are US/NATO/CIA mercenaries, right? They’re our proxies?
And this fiery chaos they’re spreading across “MENA” and South Asia; that’s right out of Zbigniew Brzezinski’s “The Grand Chessboard,” if one reads it with an expansive eye. Note that the chaos and smoldering dumpster-fires of civil society form a perimeter around China, Russia, and the EU; the only perceptible potential rivals to US global supremacy; and also sit atop deposits of strategic resources and the routes such resources need to traverse to get to market.
If the strategy were to put a US boot on the throat of European energy supply, the only routes missing were those from Russia, which the takedown of civil society in Ukraine moves toward. One wouldn’t be too shocked to see a “spontaneous” color-revolution in Belarus or Turkey, or a “surprising” outbreak of extremist violence there either.
I agree entirely with Mr. Kunstler’s description of what we see. I think a deeper look at why we’re seeing it is in order, however. I see a dying Empire, being strangled by the internal contradictions of its finance structure with requires infinite growth in a finite world; willing to go to any lengths whatsoever to cling to supremacy, by beggaring all potential rivals if necessary.
Otherwise, why would the US unfailingly, without exception, foster and side with the very worst elements of every society in which we intervene? Just the law of averages would suggest we’d side with somebody who isn’t out-of-control with bloodlust, but I’m not seeing it. Perhaps we actively engage such elements because they can’t surrender, can’t compromise, and can only destroy any civil society and governance. Who would take their surrender? Any ISIS heart-eater, or Ukie Nazi, who waved the white flag would find that to be their final earthly gesture. Nobody in his right mind would do anything but execute them summarily. So those are very reliable proxies, if the goal is to atomize society such that the only way to recover resources is to have the ability to project military power anywhere at any time. And which nations on Earth have that ability?
I think, for once, we’re not being cynical enough."

Ok. Lets hear from the brilliant minds. Exactly, what would your solution be? Only your solution.
Lets hope it isn't to create jobs like our state department.
Couldn't even sell Chris Matthews on this stupidity. Yep, lets send people over to create jobs. That's it. Of course they might get burnt alive or beheaded, but this will "defeat & degrade ISIS".
Rep. Peter King Shocked At Claim That Jobs Program Can Stop ISIS « CBS New York
Just amazing how clueless some can be.

The US State Dept thinks a jobs program will stop ISIS? We've been waging a war on poverty in our own country for 50 years and it's worse than ever.

The ISIS fighters like their jobs; they get to act like savages. They consider murder, rape and pillage perks of the job. Attack defenseless villagers, kill the men, enslave the women, even girls as young as 9 years old. Why wait for 72 virgins in heaven when you can just steal them from their parents now?

Obama cannot be shamed into helping the poor victims who live in very real terror of being attacked by ISIS. Shaming Obama doesn't work. Appeals to logic don't work. All these foreign affairs interfere with his grand design for the social re-engineering of America so dear to his heart. The Left must never be given a pass for what they foisted upon our country and the world. Government is their religion and Obama is their God. How has America been brought so low?

The far Left and the far Right - despite all assertions to the contrary - both love and worship Government ... they just love different aspects or parts of it.

The only place actual sanity exists apparently is in the center or middle.

Speaking of the topic at hand, it might be reassuring to know that the families of victims of ISIS and possibly other muslim terrorist groups might take solace knowing that their loved ones didn't die entirely in vain - they might have been unwilling organ donors.
ISIS is using blood money from harvesting organs to fund its gruesome crusade in Iraq, officials claim.
The U.N. Security Council has been asked to investigate allegations that ISIS is selling human organs to finance its terror operations.
Bodies with surgical incisions and missing kidneys, as well as other body parts, have been found in shallow mass graves over the past few weeks, Iraqi Ambassador Mohamed Alhakim said Tuesday.

This kind of inhuman activity comes very close to the experiments performed in Nazi concentration camps during WW2. Hopefully at some point in the future the US will have a president that's actually a leader with some moral fiber, and enough courage to gather our willing traditional allies and unleash the entire might of our military to stamp out these sleazy sub-human cockroaches once and for all. If we were to go all-in and declare total war on these muslim jihadis with an effort like we had in WW2 - where the end game is overwhelming defeat and unconditional surrender - we could end this threat coming from a relatively small group of religious zealots. Instead, our coward in chief plays golf and stalls with negotiations and talks while muslim terrorists continue to gain ground in Syria, Iraq, Libya and Yemen. This may be part of his "fundamental transformation" plan, allowing his muslim friends to take over that part of the world; but after he's out of office the next POTUS will have to send troops back to the Middle East to clean up the mess he let get out of hand.

Europe has probably waited too late to effectively deal with this problem. Acts of terrorism by radical Islamists in Europe may be beyond the will and ability of Europeans to thwart or manage such events. The liberal mindset in Europe wants only to appease and accommodate. This is how great civilizations die.

Let's hope the US elects a strong and effective leader to the presidency in 2016. War is coming.
Speaking of "strong and effective leader", this is a good summary of the policies and results of the leader we have right now. Take particular note of Obama's "success story" in Yemen and how well the "hope and change" for them has worked out.
When Obama announced airstrikes against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, he held up Yemen as a successful story for how the U.S. could fight terrorism without being drawn into ground combat.

For years, the White House had heralded its counterterrorism partnership with Yemen's government and its drone-based attacks on the country's dangerous al-Qaida branch. Yemen's military has also received heavy aid from the U.S. in hopes it could be built into an effective bulwark against al-Qaida in the Gulf.

But Houthis Shiite rebels overran Yemeni forces and seized power. Within days, the U.S. closed its embassy, complicating the U.S. counterterrorism campaign.

That's seriously what you took out of those comments from Mrs. Harf? Oh wait....... it probably is because you linked to a local CBS news outlet that gave the story a whopping 3 minutes and most of that airtime went to Rep. King than the actual person that made the comments. Do yourself some "googling" to find out what exactly what she was talking about.

Oh and one more thing. Since some people want to make some political hay out of these comments and don't include Mrs. Harf's opening comments I'll share them with you.

MATTHEWS: Are we killing enough of them?

HARF: We`re killing a lot of them, and we`re going to keep killing more of them. So are the Egyptians. So are the Jordanians. They`re in this fight with us.

Yep, that is what I got out of part of that interview. Why? Because of here comments specifically address it.
"We need ... to go after the root causes that leads people to join these groups, whether it's lack of opportunity for jobs, whether --"
Followed by, At that point, Harf was interrupted by host Chris Matthews, who pointed out, "There's always going to be poor people. There's always going to be poor Muslims."

Harf continued to argue that the U.S. should work with other countries to "help improve their governance" and "help them build their economies so they can have job opportunities for these people."

She acknowledged there's "no easy solution" and said the U.S. would still take out ISIS leaders. But Harf said: "If we can help countries work at the root causes of this -- what makes these 17-year-old kids pick up an AK-47 instead of trying to start a business?"

That's okay, live in your little sound bite world and believe that the administration thinks that if we go over to the middle east and create jobs that will solve the terrorist problem, that's it, that's all we have to do and we can win this fight against extremism.

Way to go man!
