Dennis is anything but a moron so he really is the exception. I really though I could stir up more crap but I guess not. Man, what's it take to get a reaction out of this group? Life is dull enough sitting in Tulsa with a solo and team ahead of us. Guess I'll go back to Angry Birds.

I get points and showers but I drive a sprinter with a diesel engine. I have a class a cdl I think I'm a professional I know I'm not a moron just because u may drive a bigger truck doesn't keep u from being a possible moron also

Have you been attending the layoutshooter school of capitalization?

LOL, it was done for "affect" as it was brought up in another post...:) Like Tumbleweed, just tryin to "stir it up"...:)

Oh and Canned, I am thinking that your comment as to "u might drive a bigger truck" was a "general "U"...because most here know Turtle drives a SPRINTER....just sayin...:)

There are exceptions on all sides, but I stand by my statement, most van drivers do not have a CDL, and most of 'em are morons. The moron crack is, of course, an exaggeration. But juuuuust barely.

I'll quite happily agree with this.

Proper sentence syntax and punctuation couldn't hurt.

Man, what's it take to get a reaction out of this group?
It's pretty easy. Just say that van drivers are morons. Works every time. As a backup, just say that those without a CDL are not professional, or that they're not real truck drivers. Cha-ching! Money in the bank.

Ban the van;)

I do wish they would ban a few vans cuz we would enjoy a few more miles. I think "Ban the Cheap Freight" would be a better catch phrase. Or, if you are stuck in Tulsa, you get an extra $.50 a mile on your next run and a free steak at Outback!

Just saying'

I'll meet you there at 7:00 if we don't get a run! I don't even know where you are but you can make, right, plenty of time for a van man. Crisscross the country in a blink of the eye. Don't need no stinkin CDL.

Wish we could wait. We may have to head to Dallas just to get a run. We will hook up next time we are in the area. The Argosy Casino on the Kansas side off of I-635 is nice. I have done well there in the past. Good luck with which ever you choose.

As for vanners not being professional drivers, for the most part, that's true, as most van driver are (A) morons and (B) don't even have a CDL. (uh, oh! :D )

I may be a moron, but at least I have a CDL. Um, I guess being a vanner with a CDL only solidifies the fact that I'm a moron. Oh well. Ignorance is bliss and I'm as happy as a wheelchock on warm asphalt.

If you guys are having problems ya'll can blame all the nice folks at Pilot... They didn't have a program before, the guys from Flying J tried to explain it to the Pilot folks and they JUST CAN'T GET IT! I never had a problem until I got to Utah, Nevada and Cal. Then I talked to the Dist, Man. when he was in Barstow and he said they were supposed to give us points and shower credits. Don't expect to even get shower credits in Mont. at non-pilot Flying J's (state law or some BS).. Pilot sucks.. always has and I'm pretty sure they always will.. I've talked to corp. more than I like to admit.. They know my name when I call.. And they keep saying that they're working on a program...Yeah..right.. I'm old and been around as an O-O from back when Flying J was about 12 truck stops strong.. Back when Jay would come out to the customer appreciation days.. They were the PREMIER truck stop that NO ONE could come close to comparing to.. I've been out here from back when most of you were still pooping yellow.. And all of this has changed sooo much.. And what really sucks is that a second rate fuel stop is treating "the hook" like a red headed step child.. When they (Pilot) took over, I lost tens of thousands points.. but "their working on a program"... If you want a good read about how a guy makes it in America, google Jay Call or the origin of Flying J.. You may have a new prospective of the Pilot/ Flying hook story.... Oh and I have a CDL and my license was grand fathered into the CDL... OH, AND IM NOW A VANNER... And as long as you are being paid to go up and down the road, you are a professional.. even if most of the BIG STAPPERS don't act like it!

Good thing I don't run the J/Pilot or any other truck stop....with the retail value of $12.00 for a shower...What a van purchases, I couldn't afford to change a garbage bag...no profit...I would discontinue the van program immediately....

see, thats the problem with most of this. out of all of you that are disgruntled with flyin pilot, how many have quit using them. we stopped when pilot took over. we are currently fueling their in protest, cause thats where our discount is. we do not spend money there other than fuel and they are last choice for a shower. we would rather pay at t/a petro. hopefully in the near future we will get away from fueling there on the compant card but if not we may go back to our own fuel card.

all the j's are becoming just like the pilots and i dont care what anyone says, we lose fuel mileage on their fuel.

I think talking to the marketing people may give one an insight of why this is not important - with maybe about less than 1000 purchases of gas for a small group of people who but less than 20 gallons, it is not worth it.
