Hi Chef! One of the whiners here. I can't speak for the whole group, but for me the problem was a small group turning every thread they got involved in into a "shorts jokes" session. It really did get out of hand. Had it been confined to just this thread it wouldn't have been so bad. Sure is better now though...
Hi Chef! Another whiner here, saying it IS better now: we can screen locations faster, and read the banter [for lack of a better word] in the Load 1 forum, everybody's happy.
Looks like I'll be ringing in the New Year in Memphis.
No idea where I'll be - haven't given up on a load for the weekend yet.....

Hey, more powerto ya!! Glad it all works for you, the better deal would be sign with a carrier that does the work for you and you wouldn't have to worry about where WE are...chances are you'd even drive less and make more....

That's funny. My carrier does the work for me, I and Y'all, just make it easy for them to do their job. And I did drive a lot less this year. Was home more than I was gone I think. Best year! Oh, and I do not worry about where you guys are. If I want to get loaded, I go where the 1'ers are hanging out. It's a fun game, you should try it. Driving more is always better than sitting and moving and sitting.
I'm not digging on Load-1 I think they are a good company....But, dang, loose lips can sink a ship.

I had my best year ever this year. I actually ended the year with the same amount of money that I had in the bank when I began the year. All monthly bills paid, new tires, brajes, hubs, and some other stuff done to the van, and i'm gonna go out next year and do it all over again! I drove less and made the same...I'm special!

So if your carriers is workin for you, why the need to follow the Load 1 guys around and head to wherre they are to get freight??? Seems you need to follow them so your carrier can then follow Load 1's lead...And as far as a "Sinking ship"...I think you might want to talk to John E. about how well Load 1 did last yr as a whole....

You are missing the point. The sinking ship is not Load-1. It is you guys that give it away. Nothing to do with the success of Load-1, I told you that. Heck, I'm not the only one that does it...And I do not follow the Load-1'ers around the way you make it sound. But, the fact is, I have gotten loads hours after unloading when Load-1 had units in the same area that had been sitting for a few days. I'll say it again "I am not bad talking Load-1".
Lower shields now, I was not attacking Load-1! Never have never will. You guys are lucky to have such a fine carrier.

LOL, so if we are sitting and others are getting loads around us, that means we going down as a sinking ship?? LOL. does that mean the same thing when we get dispatched around others that have been sitting longer then us??

Sitting at home just had a magnitude 4.0 earthquake epicenter in McDonald, OH about 30 miles from the house. I was upstairs playing Modern Warfare 3 and things shook for about 20 seconds. Kinda a weird feeling that's for sure. No damage reported yet. Earthquake happened at 3:08 pm EST.

Somebody on the opposing team called in one heck of a air strike
Nah, it wasn't an air-strike. It was an overloaded sprinter van going down the road and hit a nice pot hole in the road and dropped a drive shaft and axel in the middle of the highway!
