The democrat who would redeem us and save us from the evils of the republicans/conservatives. Now a half century later the democrats have another "messiah" who is going to save us and yet his message is just the opposite. You don't have to do anything for yourself. You just hand all your money over to the government because we (the government) know far better than you what to do with that money. It just makes me sick! We're overdue for an assassination attempt based on historical trend. The upcoming train wreck is even more likely to precipitate the next one.

Watch for "purges" in the military as well. Powell will be named Secretary of Defense. Then, just as during the Clinton years, they will start to dismantle the military and intelligence agenices. They will have a push to increase minority enlistments. They will find some way to insure that they will not be heading overseas to expedite those enlistments. The purpose of this is to insure a larger number of the military will remain loyal to the new Marxist government, the U.S.S. S. of America. I don't think anyone was suggesting an assasination. I think that they were speaking in historical terms then projecting what they see in the near future. I happen to agree. The way I see it, Obama is an "owned" person. He has sold his soul to the devil, so to speak, for power. The people he has sold out too are noted for buying up people, putting them into power then having them killed to assume the power themselfs. They most likely will do this in such a way to make it look like a "gun nut" or "racist" committed the crime. Then they can get rid of the "evil" guns, therefor having even more power for themselfs or start a race war, for the same reason. This kind of activity is a favorite method of Marxists. What democracy? We are a Republic, not a democracy. Never have been. I don't see how a democracy could work with this many people to combersome. The problem we have is we have allowed the government to control us. It was meant to be the other way around. They are our employees not our elected officials or lawmakers. They are there to do the bidding of the people, not rule us. This may be our last chance to stop what is going on. Vote them ALL out is the only answer and keep doing it. Hold them to performance, balance the buget or no pay. Prosicute everyone in congress responsible for this housing mess, requardless of party. What democracy? We are a Republic, not a democracy. Never have been.

Sheesh. OK, fine. We're a representative republic (not merely a republic), which is a democratic form of government, not a strict, direct majority rule form of government, and as such, democratic forms of government, (a.k.a., democracies), have historically lasted just about 200 years.

There are three main forms of government, Anarchism, Authoritarianism, and Democracy (this is poly sci 101 type stuff, dood). Within those three major forms of government are at least 60 different variations on a theme. A Republic, for example, is a form of Democracy, and can be implemented in any of three primary ways, or in combination of all three (Constitutional, Parliamentary, and Capitalistic). Democracy itself can be either direct, or representative, and all forms of Democracy, a Republic included, will fall into one of those two categories. It is not inaccurate, by any stretch, to say we live in a Democracy, because we do. It just so happens that within our Democracy we have chosen to implement the Representative Republic FORM of Democracy.

Die hard Republicans, people who dont like the "spread the wealth" concept, people who realize that taxing big money people and corps who make more than $250k is essentially biteing the hand that feeds you, the women Gov Palin has energized and or pulled to the Republican side, country folk and hunters who also relate to Gov Palin, parents of special needs children who also relate to Gov Palin, veterans, current military people, people who are afraid of Obama's past connections with questionable people, conservative christians, those who are troubled by Biden's recent comments about our nation being tested in a big time way if Obama is elected, people who are die hard Clinton supporters who wont vote for Obama, those who think Obama is too inexperienced, those who realize that the economy wasnt that bad until the Dems took over both houses of congress, people in Pennsylvania or nearby areas that resent recent racist redneck comments by Murtha, and maybe a few other people.

Yep, not all know the difference. Many think that communism and capitalism are government forms not economic. There really is a difference between a true democracy and and democraticlly elected republic as you know. It just fries my shorts when I hear candidates for high office who don't know the basics that you just pointed out. Yes it is PolySci 101 for some. I learned it the 7th grade and again in high school. It is basic grade school civics. Too bad it is seldom taught anymore. Now our kids are taught what benifits they are entitled too and how a benevolent government looks after them. They are taught how the "OLD VALUES" that made this country great are outdated. Honesty and integrety outdated, hard to believe that anyone could teach it. I had major fights over things like this when my kids where in school. Teachers taught my kids that the values I taught them were wrong. Teachers are my employees, they have not the right to do that. That is how much of the stuff we see today came about.
