Yes you have, now if others would only get off the labeling of others and join together we could make a change. I think most Americans believe the same on 85% of the issues facing this country but the remaing 15% is what the 2 parties use to divide this country and make Americans face off against each other that only benefits the 2 parties. This labeling of people, ur a liberal, ur a conservative, is killing us, is dividing us, as the saying goes, divide and conquer.

They have been dividing us for years. They do it by creating "protected" classes or groups. Singling them out for "special" treatment to make up for or repair "past sins". Things like affirmative action, or "gay" rights or "womens'" rights. ALL Americans should have the same RIGHTS, as spelled out in the Constitution. They often create class or income envy, hatred or "class warfare" to further divide us.

The is only one sure way to ensure that we all maintain our Constitutional Rights and that is to ensure that everyone's Constitutional Rights are protected, even if you or I don't like it.

I'm not blaming everything on Obama. I've often blamed Bush for things as well as those before him. They are all to blame as well as all the congresses through those years. Reagan was the best of the bunch and he was only a C+/B- at best.

Back to the point at hand, and the only point I've been making all along, is the accuracy of the letter. Failures of any/all other administrations, lies by Obama and/or any other president regarding any other subject are not part of my discussion. I am singly and specifically pointing out that Jon Voight told the truth in his letter in regards to Israel.

To me the right thing is LESS taxes, FEWER public freebies, MORE freedom and FAR LESS government interference in my life.

To me the right thing is spending LESS than we take in. Getting rid of the "Nanny State" would be a GREAT start. The VAST majority of Americans can fend for themselves far better than the government can provide for them.

The most important RIGHT thing is to realize that those we elect to represent us are not our rulers, they are employees, nothing more. WE control the government in this Country, or at least, that is how it is meant to be. Anything short of freedom is slavery. Government control is slavery. Nothing, not health care, education or any other thing you can think of is ever worth giving up your FREEDOM for. Once our freedom is gone it will never come back. No Human Being should ever chose to give up his freedom. Being a slave to government is a total waste of life.

Amen to that

Back to the letter ... I haven't heard Obama say he won't support Israel. I have heard him become critical over issues.

Only time will tell that. His "attitude" in public when it comes to Israel leads to wonder. It is making their enemies look long and hard at going after them again. He does not project the idea of support. I don't trust him.

Obama's whole presidency is premised on lies. Such as the lie about his being smart, competent and well qualified to manage anything more significant than a fast food joint.
That's pretty insulting to managers of fast food joints. As the manager of a fast food restaurant, you are in charge of building and lot maintenance, maintenance and repair of equipment, compliance with health codes, inventory and timely ordering of product, dealing with a laundry list of vendors, cash receipts, bank deposits and daily paperwork, dealing with employee and customer safety and security, employee scheduling and dealing with a litany of conflicts there, hiring and firing, including hiring and training people who not only need to be trained to do the job, but since for a lot of them it's their first job, you have to teach them how to work, including work ethics. Obama is nowhere near qualified, nor could he do that job, I promise you. Managing an upscale restaurant is infinitely easier than managing a fast food restaurant, and Obama couldn't handle that job, either.

I would have started Obama as a stock boy if he came to work at my store. That is about all he could handle. With a LOT of help from some 17 year old kids who had far GREATER work experience than he did.

Our janitors were contracted, stockboy WAS our lowest position. I would have started him lower if there was such a spot.

Hiring him would have been the 1st mistake.....but if he was a welfare dept referal, then chances are you wouldn't have had a choice...but he would have whined about having to work and caused trouble (remember he is a "community organizer) causing you to fire him, then the lawsuit from acorn and the Fed busting on the company...he isn't worth the BS, just don't hire him to begin with....

I never was "forced" to hire anyone by welfare. As department manager I had control over who I hired.

I did all the interviews. My interviews focused on fishing skills, how well they knew the "River" etc. If I was interviewing for hunting the interview was along the same lines. I hired one older man because he knew and used the correct name for an island on the lower "River". It was a SMART move. He sold tons of fishing tackle, he KNEW his "STUFF" on the "River". He KNEW those who fished out there and how they fished.

See with barry if you asked him about that stuff he would scream discrimination... your questiones would have to be geared to HIS background and ideals...not anything that would pertain to the job.....

That never worked with me. You passed MY interview or you did NOT get hired. I REQUIRED my employees to KNOW what they were doing. Even the kids who worked directly from me had some really good background. I guess that is why my sales in my department went up 43% the first year. I had GOOD people working for me. A manager is nothing without a good staff. Barry has never learned that lesson either.

You didn't have a melon patch or chicken coop out back did you!?!?

No, it was in the city. I only had ONE black man, about 19, come in for an interview. He did NOT hunt, fish or camp. He was dressed like a gangbanger, "dew rag" and was NOT friendly with a washcloth. Needless to say he did NOT get hired.

In my time there I only had to have two people fired. One was a teen a girl, not from my department, who REFUSED to do the job I asked her to do. I was the only manager on duty. The other was our gunsmith. He had good skills but he was VERY lazy. After months of gun repairs not getting done on time and catching him sleeping for the third time, we fired him. We, as a store, fired two other kids, for theft.
