Big Truck Not everyone should be allowed to wield tools.

The rod bearings had some particles imbedded, but nothing terrible. The crank is ok. Parts have been ordered. I'm going to put rod and main bearings in it, the correct oil pickup tube gasket, get it running, THEN I can finally diagnose the reason why it's here in the first place: the Allison...

    Antonia Scalia dies

I should have been more clear. The article posted above, "Obama Absence At Scalia Funeral Unprecedented in Modern History", is not true. Turtle summed it up pretty thoroughly.

Big Truck Not everyone should be allowed to wield tools.

I keep getting sick with weird diseases my coworkers kids bring home. So no, I'm laid up with the Zika virus or something. I did cut the old liftgate frame off of the truck though.

The best part? I found the correct gasket laying in the bottom of the oil pan.

This Maxxforce 9 ran like dog doo, and had erratic injection control pressure. Tomorrow I'm gonna open Pandora's box and look at bearings.

Big Truck I work on Hino trucks. I'll answer any questions I know the answers to.

Interesting, thank you for the feedback. These turbos aren't all that great. Is scv current target/actual scv current matching? This can also cause periodic low power, but not quite as bad as you're describing. Interesting factoid: Hino made a great deal of effort to improve the injectors...

Big Truck I work on Hino trucks. I'll answer any questions I know the answers to.

Interesting. Keep in mind that Hino uses two brake switches, one for the brake lights and one to aggravate people. Not sure if UD is the same. I don't know if UD used the same programming or sourced their own ecu, and/or if the quirks are the same or not. I haven't seen low boost in relation...

Which engine ?! If a gasser, they'd sometimes break exhaust manifold bolts. The leak would sound like a click or knock.

What sprinter is better 2005 or 2008

There was a thread several months ago where someone was thinking of putting a Chevy LS V8 in a sprinter. Maybe he wasn't crazy after all.

Big Truck I work on Hino trucks. I'll answer any questions I know the answers to.

On Hinos with air brakes, the service brake relay valve has a switch that will cause low power when it gets stuck in the on position. good possibility you're on the right track. After that, I can pretty much just offer conjecture. It could be a LOT of things, but without hooking a computer to...
