    Covering Ground and Nighttime Driving

Mundane? Sometimes but you know if it wasn't for the mundane, we would get bored with Moot. Thanks Greg. But I may not be as mundane as you think. Once I delivered a trailer load of Nautilus exercise equipment to Greg LaMond's house. The little twerp stole my pen after signing the freight...

My mechanic claims spark plugs are often designed for specific engines and application. I use an AC plug designed for my 6.0L engine.

    LOS SCRUBBERS CONS

Monday afternoon I picked up a load delivering to Basin Electric Power CO-OP in Stanton, ND (pop. 345) The address given was a state highway. Shouldn't be too difficult to find a power plant somewhere in or around Stanton. About 10 miles out of Stanton I could see flashing strobe lights. As I...

    What is the difference/

RE: Classes Truck classes are assigned by weight limits. A class 8 is 30 something thousand pounds and up. This is usually a heavy duty tractor, but can also be a straight truck. A class 7 truck is a lighter duty truck. Very common in expediting and city P&D. Class 8 trucks come with better...

    Dynamex question.

I too was accused of the crack thing when I quit a good paying LTL job, giving up very high seniority and benefits. The last 10 years have been the best of my working life. I'm not making near the money, have no paid vacation, as I type this, my van is waiting for some expensive repair work...

    2004 Chevrolet Wheelbearing Assembly

Thanks, I am leaning toward replacing the fried bearings and having my mechanic evaluate the other set. Any other advice before Monday morning would be appreciated.

I'm learning about wheel bearing assemblies and ABS sensors. A subject I would have rather remained ignorant of.

    2004 Chevrolet Wheelbearing Assembly

I was 135 miles from my mechanic of choice. I had an appointment set up for Monday morning for front brake pads. The garage where I broke down couldn't get the parts until Monday afternoon and have me up running Tuesday. So I opted for the hook to my mechanic of choice. Guess he will be...

    2004 Chevrolet Wheelbearing Assembly

Has anybody had problems with the newer Chev/GMC vans with 4 wheel ABS? I have a 2004 Chev 3500. Yesterday en route to a pickup I trashed the left front wheel bearing. The bearing comes as a sealed assembly with some ABS sensor stuff attached to it. My question is should I have both sides...

Newbie looking to be a fleight owner

I'm not a fleet owner nor a communist. Never have been. I think being a fleet owner in the expedite business is similar to being an absentee landlord. If you lived on the west coast, would you buy and rent a single apartment on the east coast? I realize you must start somewhere, so why not...

    Which job offer, when?

If you are serious about expediting in a cargo van, why not buy a good used 1 ton or better yet a new one. Interest on a loan is tax deductable as is many other items associated with owning a business. Making a go of it in a cargo van is getting tougher every day. Why make payments for an owner?
