    What is the law?

You could, but there wouldn't be a need to. I would keep it on the up and up in case you had to go through a DOT audit.

    Stuck in deadend Express Center

I can't think of a place in the US I would DH a truck that far. 1500 miles is huge. The load would have to pay 3 to 4 bucks a mile at equal distance to even consider it. At a minumum he should have went to Dallas or into AZ. El Paso is usually pretty good.

    What is the law?

Might be pretty close to the truth on that one.

Just a quick observation. Apparently more accurate than I thought.

    What is the law?

I can't think of a reason one would have to falsify the documents to haul two shipments.

Makes me wonder how many take hazmat and reefer loads. ====================== Many do both with more doing hazmat. Reefer freight only pays slightly higher so not that many doing them unless they are full truckload. Just not enough reefer freight out there to really fool with unless it is food.

Changing Axle Ratios to Boost MPG

It will be listed on the original purchase order. Or, call the truck dealer with your serial number and they can tell you what it is.

    Copies of CDL

Many states including TN, don't have it where it can be read. It will say "on file" right on the front of the license. A cop can run it through a scanner in there car to get your personal info. Much like a credit card. It has a magnet strip on the back.

Changing Axle Ratios to Boost MPG

For us it equalled about one mile per gallon. Wasn't a huge deal then as fuel was cheaper but you want to make sure you know exactly what your doing when doing this. We had no clue, thus the reason for going through there engineering. Also acts as a safeguard to preserve manufacturers...

    Self Imposed Deadhead

JMO, BUT, if the owner would put a generator in the truck the drivers wouldn't be idling to stay warm or cool...........problem solved. Let's see the ones that are supposedly getting their 'clocks cleaned' stay in the truck for 3-4 weeks at a time and NOT have any heat when their trying to...

    Self Imposed Deadhead

Looks like fuzzy math indeed. As for the 40/60 plans, I have recieved several calls from owners that are getting their clock cleaned. Especially where there are low FSC's, no generators, and participating in some of the items mentioned above. I am also aware that there are some owners...

    Stop Smoking Now!!!

I have been known to carry glade air freshener with me and if there are people stinking up the fresh outdoors where I have to pass by, I spray in front of me as I walk by them. I have had a few people say something to me about it and I just tell them that what I am doing smells a lot better than...

Are things picking up over there where you are?

It isn't quite as frantic as last year, but it has been pretty steady.

    Get Involved

Most of this is what the market can take. Several brokers are saying that the FSC will stay intact and passed to the operator. The bad news is they will drop the rate so the customer is paying the same. For the brokers keeping part of the FSC, they will instead sheer part of the rate. Since it...

    Fuel Economy on Different Platforms

Kinda hard because your 6 speed M2 isn't going to have the same setup as a 13 speed. Without that information, it would be like throwing a dart and picking one.
