    Custom sleepers for tractors

For custom sleepers, I would start with the following In no particular order Indiana custom trucks Bentz ARI or American Reliance Industy Double Eagle Star Class A search on any will bring up their websites.

    Factoring? Is it for u?

It is primarily used by independents with a limited cash flow, and don't have the resources to collect on due shipments. Percentage by most is set on your volume or recievables. If leased to a carrier, it is their responsibilty for collections.

    Summer or Winter?

Easy, Summertime by a big margin. Don't or didn't park in truck stops, so no issues with stinking parking lots and the like. Lastly, very allergic reaction to snow, or complete convulsions with temps below freezing.

    Axle weight

Stupid question....maybe. Have you talked to the previous owner on this truck? Apparently he was running it in its current condition. Am I missing something?

    Load boards

Good news. Check your Panther web page. The new heat maps for boards is on there. Should give you a pretty good idea of what area a board actually covers. You can click to blow up by region. It will be at the top labeled "Board Map" with a PC miler logo next to it.

    Axle weight

What a saga. I agree with many others in that the axles will likely have to be moved. Hopefully this all works out.

Why are they asking for a resume?

Too much of complicating the simple. What company requires a resume?

    Hino Nightmare

That's awhile. We have had some crashes over the years but nothing in that time frame for recovery. But....you did get the truck on the road in less time than those six months and that took some CASH. Might have been more than that 10k?

    Panther tractors...$1.30 a mile?

I think .35 cents for DH is for vans. Straights are .50 to .75 I think tractors are .75 or higher? After the first 100 Take that back.....I think vans are .25? for DH

    Hino Nightmare

When the truck runs, I do just fine getting the miles and making the payments, etc. Sure, everyone says not to buy a truck unless you have 10 grand banked up. You shouldn't need to with a new truck with a full warranty and a maintenance program. ================================= Oh....but you...

    Panther tractors...$1.30 a mile?

I think the determining factor would be how much DH you have. Same as the FSC program in that you can go on or off it when you want. If it was offered to me in a straight, I would decline because our rate is higher than that without that much DH. But....you can try it, and if you don't like...

    Another Freightliner horror story

My personal opinion is there is little difference between a 300,370, or 600 except for the engine size. All of the wiring, cab components are the same. We opted for the Cummins because after a change in the fuel rail system, they seem to be pretty much trouble free. Cost of a full rebuild is...

    Another Freightliner horror story

With regards to Freightliner, the manufacturer won't step in unless you have 100's of trucks. They basically will tell you that the dealers are independent of the manufacturer and if you need assistance, dealing with that specific dealer is your only option.

    Another Freightliner horror story

Have to wonder. For the folks with a M2, if your condensor keeps going out, I found with a little investigating, they now have three. When they get too many complaints that could result in a recall, they just switch manufacturers. I called Freightliner in Oregon, and they said they have to...

    Another Freightliner horror story

Over this last Memorial day, A/C went out on one of our Sterlings. FOD was the closest and said they could check it quick. So when we got there, they said it was a loose wire to the compressor. Ok.....no problem. Fix the wire. They said since it was under warranty, they had to replace the whole...

    ATA Truck Driving Championships

Ummm??? I wouldn't see an interest from Panther as they are stictly owner operators. ATA's benefit to owner operators is pretty limited. Most of their agenda is for carriers with company drivers.
