I've always wondered what kind of adhesive the cat uses for their decals.Always a dead giveaway when a person can see the perfect outline of the cats in old glue on a side of a truck.That's why it was nice with Nations,C&M, or who I am leased to now having the smaller decals.

Are you serious? Where are you getting your figures from, as far as you saying it costs the same to operate a box truck(which I think you are meaning a cube truck-15' ford e-350 type) versus a 33k straight truck.Think about the cost of apportioned plates,ins, tolls, fuel taxes, repair labor...

When I was running local,I was paid by the load,flat rate, and detention was added as well as extras, as needed. A load from cleveland airport to ford engine plant in brookpark would pay me 150.00 flat rate, straight truck. total trip miles, from terminal to airport to ford and back was 7 miles...

Why would anyone want to add to the cost per mile to haul less than dollar a mile freight? If you like working for free,go for it.This here is a perfect example of big truck mentality versus expeditor mentality.Haul the freight with as little expense as possible.

But who is to say that landstar does'nt use any of their trucks from their other divisions? they have close to 10,000 in their system, from what i understand.They dont have to limit the loads, to express america.

I dont see a problem with Landstar controlling the automotive freight market, if they cant cover the load, they would most likely farm the load out.

I was under the impression that all you need is truck plates.Why would a cargo van, under, 10,000 gvw, need irp/apportioned plates? Remember, a cargo van falls under the gvw limit for cdl requirements, unless you are hauling hazmat.Sounds to me like they just want you to waste your $$$.This was...

Ford has been in the works deveoping their own v-8 diesel for at least 5 years now. I delivered a few engine blocks for this diesel to a place in Wisconsin.It was interesting what the engineer showed me there.alot of insight.
