????S About leasing with two companies

Well I am not having too much luck with 1 carrier, and I am strongly considering doing this on a local level. At least expenses will be alot cheaper. But per mile pay should be alot better than over the road,at least that is the way it used to be in the late 80's.

    Panthers new rate

Youre right, Panther ll was bought out by Fenway. And the ll was dropped. But the misconception of Panther l starts before that.Alot of people think that there was a Panther l that went bankrupt and re-named as Panther ll, which is untrue.

    Panthers new rate

Panther 1 ???? 8 or 10 years ago? Where are you getting this from? There was no Panther 1. Ever. (Owned and started by the same founders of Panther ll.) Do you know who the original owners and founders of Panther were? One of them was a real great person by the way of Craig Armatto.I worked for...

Right now they are the #1 selling truck, and alot of fleets are buying them. They spent alot of time and research developing the Prostar and the Lonestar, even though the Prostar is becoming real popular right now.It is a real nice truck for the $$.I also think the Prostar would make a nice class 8...

    Fuel filter change?

I just got done changing the fuel filter on my Ford E-350 with a 7.3 for the first time.I am very dissapointed in Ford/International for where they put it.Mine happens to be at the front of the engine, on top.So all of the air intake had to come off including a few other things that were in the...

    Time for the deals!

For 6 months I have had my old 2000 sterling class 8 stretched to a 10-wheeler for sale.It had the original Dupont Imron paint, the shiniest paint I have seen, polished aluminum wheels, etc. Truck was real nice and clean, really didnt need much of anything.I had it for sale for $15,000, then...

And the sad part of this is that the few carriers that are left out here paying better than average rate will soon follow.

    Rooftop Ac

Wow. I was under the impression that most Sprinters were 1-tons out here. But I guess they make the difference up in the empty weight being so much lighter than a Ford.

    What happening with Panther???

Good morning, I believe the team driver ad that says .44 cpm is for someone that is looking to drive someone else's truck that is leased to Panther, not as an o/o.

    Rooftop Ac

I honestly dont know much about Sprinters, but it sounds like the gvw you stated, (8,550) sounds like a 3/4 ton van.Just out of curiosity, why didnt you go with the 1-ton if this is a 3/4 ton? My Ford e-350 extended is a one-ton and has a gvw of 9,400.

    Class 7 vs Class 8

I had ordered a new freightliner century in 2000 that was considered a tractor in every aspect except that it had a gvw of 33,000# with a single axle in the rear.18 gauges on the dash,3-stage jake,c-12 cat, 10-speed autoshift, etc. This was and is considered a class 8 expeditor. There was a huge...

    What happening with Panther???

I used to work for a company that was based out of N.C., by greensboro, that did the same excact thing.I think it is not about safety, but trying to spread the loads around so everyone makes a little money. And I dont buy the fmcsa regulations for an excuse to transfer a load off of a cargo...

Air Shocks on Class 8 "D" Truck

But here, I cannot agree. There are proper ways to add leaf springs to a vehicle, especially the front, and maintain the proper ride height as well as alignment and characteristics.
