    Vacuum Pump Issues

Okay,Letsrocket, what kind of tv were you watching? Anyway, my E-350 with a 7.3makes a whirring noise.Ryder replaced the power steering pump, thinking it was that. But it still makes it.Alot of people told me it was the air pump.So not wanting to spend $$$ and it not be that, I took the belt off...

    Molded Cargo Van Partition

Yea, I was going to say, Alumibunk is a very expensive place, even though their stuff looks nice. Can't see why someone would want to pay for something they could do themselves.

    Looking and shopping.....any help?

That is excactly why I prefer smaller companies, not as much nonsense like that to deal with.

    Vacuum Pump Issues

I was going to say, Autozone has them for around $98.00, and they are easy to replace. My 2003 e-350 with a 7.3 has been doing it for some time, but I am not 100% sure it is coming from the air pump. But it is getting louder as time goes on.

    Chevy Van brakes problem

The sealed bearing thing must be on a G.M.,because every Ford I have worked on, (van , pickup,) has the wheel-bearing cap that you take off in order to get to the cotter pin,and a couple of washers, cotter-pin retainer, and then pull the bearings out, then the rotor comes off.Of course, I havent...

    Chevy Van brakes problem

As suggested here before, always change the pads with a new set of rotors. Also, did you torque the lugnuts? or just use an impact. Sometimes that does make a difference.Another question that comes to my mind is, where did you buy the rotors from? From a quality auto parts store like Napa, or...

    Question for Straight Truck O/O

And another advantage is that a van offers the freedom to go home at a cheaper cost as far as fuel goes, amongst other things. If I could make a decent dollar running local freight, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

    Question for Straight Truck O/O

I used to be leased to a company in N.C. that had alot of weekly deductions, like $250.00 per week in a s/t.So it basically cost a person $1,000 to work there per month, or $12,000 per year.Another one down there was at $175.00 per week in a van. The company I am leased to now, in a van, is at...

    350k miles Blown Head Gasket

I did look at the Hino at the Expo that Churney's had there, and I did like the Blue interior.Although I did not look real close at it, more interested in the sleeper, it didnt seem too bad of a truck. But if I needed a local s/t, I would prefer a Ford with a Cummins in it over a Hino.I used to...

    2009 expo thank you

Yes,you are correct, the Expo was excellent and the only thing I can think of was the pa system was too load, to the point of not being to understand what was said.Other than that, Lawrence did a awesome job of putting on a great show.

    Fuel filter change?

You are absolutely right in what you are saying. But I continue to hear the stories of how expensive things are for the Sprinter and sometimes the wait for parts, or to find someone to work on them. With all of this it makess me glad that I do have my Ford, no matter how much more cramped it...

    cargoMAXX

They slammed the side of it to show me and others how much thicker and durable the Cargomaxx fiberglass is compared to a sprinter. I was impressed. The roll-up door was a nice feature.

    Fuel filter change?

Actually, reaching it was easy. And now that I have did it, it's not as difficult as what I first experienced.Just take off the air filter housing/ un-clamp the air snorkel, use a bungee cord to pull and keep it out of the way,and take 2 bolts off holding this other doo-hikey on and then it is...
