    New trucks & antigel

You need to change the def filter, if it has one. Nothing but def should ever be put in there. The Def tank, injector, and lines are heated or insulated. Don't worry about that system.

I must have been semi conscious when I replied to that. I was thinking you said it was a 195 COE. In any case, 6 injectors instead of four. The burner systems are getting better all the time, mostly due to reprogramming the burner control unit with strategies to protect the burner, and more...

Big Truck Hino VISIBLE LEAKING BEHIND TURBO

It's the head gasket. This is the most common form of head gasket leak on these. Externally, right rear of engine, right in front of the nook. Sometimes behind the turbo. The head gasket has been updated to prevent oil leakage from occurring. Do not have the head machined. There is no...

Preventing fuel problems in cold weather

I've been asked my opinion on what to do when running in bitter cold, and how to avoid fuel gelling. With today's ultra precise (and expensive) injectors, I'm leaning against running additives unless certain precautions have been taken. Most anti-gelling additives also have ingredient designed...

    New trucks & antigel

Does it have a fuel heater installed? Do you have an apu that runs when the main engine is off? The problem with additives in new engines is that these additives will emulsify water into the fuel, which defeats the fuel/water separator. When water, even a tiny bit, hits the injector tip it...

Hi there. There's a graph on the dash labeled DPR. Cycle the display on the dash until it pops up. Is this graph at ten bars? If so, it will have to be connected to dealer software to reset it. No amount of code-clearing or battery cable disconnecting will get that graph to go away. Take the...

Vehicle Off Road. An authorization to air-freight parts overnight without you having to incur the cost. Atomizers occasionally spring internal leaks. Unusual at this mileage. Occasionally an injector craps out for no good reason. They'll replace all four as a precaution. There gonna throw...
