    Hino hood bandaid

This is certainly true. However, the earlier Hino conventional trucks have notoriously weak hoods. They completely redesigned the hood in 2011 and went with an American manufacturer (pretty sure). The newer hoods are a magnitude better in quality. The only ones that I've seen cracked are on...

Look at above pic. To the left of the tailpipe. Yours has slightly different connectors on it than this one. Documents? There are a ton of documents.

The only thing im aware of that has similar functionality is some Bosch software that cost 10k. Cummins is also very proprietary. You might be able to see some live data on different scanners, but there are some specific functions that need access to succesfully troubleshoot stuff on the...

    Hino hood bandaid

Coalminer, this one's for you! Spongebox sent a truck my way. Floppy hood syndrome. It was bad. For those that don't know, the hoods of 05-10 Hinos with 6 cylinder engines have hoods that are fragile. They break around the hinges, sometimes very badly. When it's bad, the hood latches are...

Preventing fuel problems in cold weather

It'll be powered whenever the ignition is on. It doesn't get super hot. You will need a multimeter to check the following. Turn on the ignition. Unplug sensor. One leg from the harness should have 12v, the other should be a ground. Check the heater leads for continuity. I don't know what the...

    New trucks & antigel

Whew! The trucks I work on, at least, will allow sufficient time for the Def to thaw before attemting to inject it. Up to 90 min, from what I understand. Coolant runs through a loop in the tank, through a heatsink in the pump, and around the injector. The def lines and hoses are wrapped...
