2020 Hino 258 ALP high idle

5000? That can't possibly be right. When it first starts up it'll be higher until it warms up, then it'll idle at 750.

The atomizer is the actual module, not the burner nozzle. If you're getting this code, the atomizer should be replaced.

Update: water can get into the firewall junction box from a leaking windshield seal. If it gets into the CAN wiring, all sorts of weird things happen. The junction box needs to be opened up and inspected for water.

    Hino 155 Turbo

I don't know if they're the same or not. There was a big step up in emissions stuff between those years. The VNT controller is calibrated to the turbo at the factory, so swapping controllers often doesn't work correctly.

    Hino 700 issues

Unfortunately Hino doesn't give out much oscilloscope data, so I can't help you there. It definitely sounds like a low fuel pressure issue, and you've already checked the rail pressure limiter.

Hino won't be able to do anything with the TCM, you need to go to an Allison dealer.

The replacement TCM might be good, but they use that computer on all the different Allison transmissions of that era, so there's no telling what programming is on it.

    2012 HINO 268 P073D

Generally when E shows up on the shifter, the TCM has failed. They have a high failure rate. I can look at this a little deeper but until a known good TCM with the correct programming is installed, all bets are off.

    2012 Hino 338 P2436

Probably the most common failure mode that triggers P2436 is burner nozzle pressure dropping to the correct level after a regen. The nozzle pressure at rest is supposed to be 0.5-8 psi at this step. They will get stuck at much higher pressures (40-50psi) for too long a period and the light...
