Once again the government is out to destroy an industry without even thinking.
If they want to dismantle the coal industry, would it not make sense to say move and train these people in the natural gas industry before wiping out the mining industry?
Ok, no. That might make sense.
Nope, we just lay them off and then wonder where all the jobs went. I would submit that the ones that complain about say, maybe Walmart for example is small by comparison. I would say the government is the biggest job killer of them all.
