A person stops and helps a family in trouble so they have a hero complex. The majority of fire/rescue/emergency med people in this country are volunteers. Do they all have a hero complex? I have seen MANY every day citizens stop to help at an accident, did they all have a "hero complex"?

Recording a beating? Rather than stopping it? Anyone who does that should be arrested for aiding that beating. Responsible people try to stop bad things. Don't EVEN try to give me the "He's 17 and just growing" BS line. He is less than a year old than many who are on the battle field right now. He is less than a year old than many volunteer firefighters/rescue/emergency medical crews who are out there, putting their lives on the line for others, at the same age.

ANYONE who would tape and upload a beating is as much of a thug as the one doing the beating. I wonder if the "little darlin's" think it's funny when someone is hurt by another? Somehow, it would not surprise me.

Could they have figured George all wrong? Zimmerman saves family in auto wreck.

I think it proves they figured him exactly right: he's got a "hero complex", and wants to be admired.

It does bring up a question, though: the accident is within a mile of where he shot Martin, so if he's afraid to show his face in public because of the death threats and hatred, why is he there, of all places? You'd think he'd be far far away, right?

George Zimmerman rescues family from truck crash last week, police say | Fox News

Can't imagine the Martin kid stepping up.
Although he did take photos with a phone of friends beating a homeless guy.

I'm sure Fox showed Zimmerman's attorney {Mara} sharing that video, and explaining it as Martin's friends - did they neglect to show Mara's apology for 'mischaracterizing' it, or did you not see that part? The fight was between strangers to Martin, who taped it for YouTube. Damifino why fight vids are so popular, but there isn't a teenage male alive who wouldn't have done the same, cause those are quite popular on YouTube - almost as popular as stupid pranks.

I would have to disagree with the "hero complex" or wanting to be admired. Then again, I am not so sure that is a bad trait based on the alternative.
I have a brother who just finished 30 years in the Coast Guard reserves and is currently a fire chief in Michigan. You aren't anywhere close with the "hero complex".

As for Martin taping a fight, well, teenager or not, it speaks for itself whether it was his friends or not.

For me, I don't look at it that way although the "race baiters" try to portray that. I think most are ok with equal footings for both. The problem comes in with the PC stuff and they have to be treated "special".

No, the world was a better place when most people accepted responsibility for their own live's and actions. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with gender, race, creed or color.

One of the biggest things damaging this nation is the constant drum beat from the Jessie Jackson's, the Sharpton's, the Obama's etc, trying to use race and the fact that there was once slavery in this country to prove that some people are entitled to things that they did not earn. A TRUE leader would be preaching hard work, self reliance and personal responsibility.

Today's, so-called, "civil rights leaders" are anything but. They are making a living on the backs of the people they pretend to help. They can only exist as long as other's see themselves as oppressed. They have no interest in "civil rights" and tend to campaign AGAINST civil rights and the Constitution.

They are no better than the slave owners were, no matter where or when that slavery took place.

IF they were SO horrified at the thought of slavery they would all be in Africa fighting to end it there, where it REALLY exists.

The whole focus of the democrats it seems is to divide the nation. We go from class, to education, to immigration, and when that all fails, they pull out the race card.

A divided house falls easily The goal is for the government to take over the country. They wish to rule. Everything being done in Washington today is being done to insure THEIR power, THEIR enrichment and THEIR control over the People.

Demoncrat or Rumbumlican, it makes no difference. The two largest crime families in organized crime are the Republican and Democrat political parties. Neither is worth their weight in cow manure.

It sounds like the perfect place to hide, tell them you left and are in hiding then hide right in front of them. They found him and his family the first time, keyword there is found which means people are looking. There was an offer of $1million for his capture after the verdict that was made very public.

I believe it was SPD Detective Serino who characterized Zimmerman as having a hero complex, for the overzealous 'protection' of his neighborhood from threats that mainly existed in his imagination. Just like the Neighborhood Watch program he identified himself as.
To be fair, he did try to start a NW program, but couldn't get anyone else to volunteer. Maybe he lived in a neighborhood where nobody [but him] really cared, but I doubt it.
I think he just imagined boogey men everywhere.
He does deserve credit for rescuing the people from the overturned car, and I said that too. Good thing none of them had a neck or spine injury, though. [Just kidding - couldn't resist!]

I wouldn't film it, but I doubt I'd try to stop it, either, unless it was a clearly unfair fight - then I'd have to, even if I got hurt. If it appears to be a fair fight between adults, I won't risk getting hurt for their stupidity.

Like I said: fights are one of the most popular categories on YouTube, with thousands of them getting tens of thousands of views. I don't understand the appeal, but then I don't understand why teenagers like horror/gore/slasher movies, and stupid "practical jokes" [where people can get hurt] either. I just know that many of them do, until they mature.
Even then, boxing is still a pretty big draw for a whole lot of adults, sigh.

Whoever offered anything at all for his "capture" should be captured themselves and jailed.

This is an older bounty that was offered before the trial by the racist, militant New Black Panthers that CNN decided to advertise. There are more out there now but yet the current administration doesn't bother stopping clearly racist groups like this, instead they are wasting money and manpower investigating someone the FBI has already cleared as a racist.

If the moron in that vid wasn't arrested, it's because the law wouldn't allow it - you know, the actual letter of the law? I'm guessing it has something to do with not preempting something that hasn't actually been done - but I don't know. Maybe the law decided that the offer doesn't count, because he said "We're hoping to have a million dollars to offer as a reward" - can't arrest someone for hoping, right?

No, it is favoritism towards blacks, this is the same group that threatened voters and no investigation was done. This video makes it very clear that they plan to kill Zimmerman and were actively hunting him down, but it just gets ignored.

Please show me any YouTube catagory ranking that has fights are one of the most popular catagories. I'm betting its not even in the top 50 most likely even the top 100 catagories. You have made the claim several times, I'll be very surprised if you find proof of it. I sure can't.

Trayvon Martin
Born Trayvon Benjamin Martin
February 5, 1995
Miami Gardens, Florida, U.S.
Died February 26, 2012 (aged 17)
Sanford, Florida, U.S.
Cause of death Single gunshot fired at intermediate range (1–18 inches)[11]
Ethnicity African American
Height
5 ft 11 in (1.80 m)

[Note 1]
Weight 158 pounds (72 kg)[Note 1]
Trayvon Benjamin Martin (February 5, 1995 – February 26, 2012) was the son of Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, who were divorced in 1999. He was a junior at Dr. Michael M. Krop High School and lived with his mother and older brother in Miami Gardens, Florida.[18][19][20] Trayvon's English teacher, Michelle Kypriss, described him as an A and B student who majored in cheerfulness.[19]

On the day Martin was fatally shot, he and his father were visiting his father's fiancée and her son at her townhome in The Retreat at Twin Lakes in Sanford, a multi-ethnic gated community, where the shooting occurred.[21][22] Martin had visited his father's fiancée at Twin Lakes several times.[23][24]

Martin had been suspended from school at the time of his death.[25] He had been suspended twice before. One suspension was for tardiness and truancy.[26] Another suspension in October 2011 was for graffiti, when Martin was observed by a security camera in a restricted area of the school marking up a door with "W.T.F."[26] When he was later searched by a Miami-Dade School Police Department officer, looking for the graffiti marker, the officer found a dozen pieces of women's jewelry and a watch in his backpack, which Martin said a friend had given to him. A screwdriver was also found, which was described by the school police investigator as a burglary tool. The jewelry was impounded and given to the police. However, no evidence ever surfaced that the jewelry was stolen.[26] Martin's third suspension involved a marijuana pipe and an empty bag containing marijuana residue.[25] Martin was not charged with any crime related to these incidents and did not have a juvenile record.[27] Judge Debra Nelson ruled that the defense could have access to Martin's records, including the details of the suspensions, as well as access to Martin's social media sites,[28] but ruled that none of the information would be admissible as evidence during the trial unless it could be shown to be relevant.[29]

George Zimmerman

Born George Michael Zimmerman
October 5, 1983 (age 29)
Manassas, Virginia, U.S.
Ethnicity Hispanic
Height 5 ft 7 in (1.70 m)
Weight 185 pounds (84 kg)[Note 2]
Criminal charge Second-degree murder
Criminal status Not guilty
George Michael Zimmerman was born on October 5, 1983, in Manassas, Virginia,[31] and is the son of Gladys (née Mesa) Zimmerman, who was born in Peru,[32] and Robert Zimmerman, Sr., a retired Virginia magistrate.[33][34] He was raised as a Catholic,[32] in a family that his father has described as "multiracial"; his father is a White American of German descent[35] and his mother is Peruvian with some black ancestry through her Afro-Peruvian maternal grandfather.[32][Note 3] Zimmerman's voter registration record lists him as Hispanic and a registered Democrat.[36][37]

Zimmerman's height is reportedly 5′ 7″ (1.70 m); and his weight is recorded as being 185 lb (84 kg) on his Seminole County Sheriff's Office Inmate Booking Information dated April 11, 2012, the date of his arrest.[30] Zimmerman's height is shown as 5′8″ (1.73 m); and his weight at 200 lb (91 kg) on the Sanford Police Department Offense Report for February 26, 2012, the night of the shooting.[38]

At the time of the shooting, Zimmerman was employed as an insurance underwriter and was in his final semester at Seminole State College for an associate degree in Criminal Justice.[32][39] In one of his interviews with police he stated his goal was to become a judge.[40]

In early 2011, Zimmerman participated in a citizen forum at the Sanford City Hall, to protest the beating of a black homeless man by the son of a white Sanford police officer. During the meeting, Zimmerman called the behavior of officers on duty "disgusting" and detailed officers napping while on duty and refusing to take on difficult assignments.[41]

Zimmerman and his wife moved to The Retreat at Twin Lakes in 2009.[21][22]

In 2005, at the age of 21, Zimmerman was charged with assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest, after shoving an officer while a friend of Zimmerman's was being questioned about underage drinking. The charges were reduced, then dropped when Zimmerman entered a pre-trial diversion program that included anger management classes.[32][42] Also in 2005, Zimmerman's ex-fiancée filed a restraining order against him, alleging domestic violence. Zimmerman requested a reciprocal restraining order. Both orders were granted.[32][43] The incidents were raised by prosecutors at Zimmerman's initial bond hearing. The judge described the incidents as "run of the mill" and "somewhat mild" and rejected the prosecution's claim that the incidents demonstrated that Zimmerman was violent or a threat to the community.[32][44][45]

Sanford Police Department
Bill Lee had been chief of the Sanford Police Department for ten months when the shooting occurred.[46] Prior to Lee becoming chief, the department had been accused of protecting relatives of police officers involved in violent incidents with blacks, and the Martin case increased distrust between the police and Sanford's black community.[47]

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now look at the mix in this gated community, also known as a Retreat, give me a break:

The Retreat at Twin Lakes is a 260-unit gated townhome community in Sanford, Florida.[60][61] The population in the development, at the time of the shooting, was about 49% non-Hispanic white, 23% Hispanic (of any race), 20% black, and 5% Asian, according to Census figures.[47] Both George Zimmerman and Tracy Martin's fiancée were renting homes in the development when the shooting occurred.[24] At the time of the shooting, Martin had been staying with his father's fiancee at The Retreat.[23]

What we have here is a bomb waiting to go off,,,,,,,,,,,,,,IMHO....must have been designed by Nancy and Harry........................

That's a facade, Dave. Instead of looking at it as a right vs left, try collectivism vs freedom. Neither party is for the latter, as if they were, they'd have broadened liberty with their majority.
