Very few women are emotionally damaged by, or regret having abortions.

Why didn't she have pepper spray?
Maybe a telescoping baton?
There are multiple options available.
Those items might or might not have saved her life. Just the same as owning a gun might or might not have saved her life.
No way you can realistically blame her death on not having a gun. But I'm sure you will anyhow.
Just like why was her application held up? Was she under a doctors care? Was she seemed unstable? Was she a recovering addict? Did she have a previous record? Did she make an error on her application form..,, the " cause " won't tell us it's nor investigate further because it doesn't help the cause... Not enough information really to make an informed decision... Her ex spouse sure exercised his right to own a gun...

Why is it a few days waiting period is a roadblock for ending a life but to the same people a sensible measure when buying a firearm to protect a life? Carol Bowne might disagree if she only could.
Carol Browne has exactly zero to do with abortion. While I personally believe having to endure a waiting period to exercise a right is an infringement on that right, the waiting period on a firearm purchase has proven to reduce emotionally charged purchases for the purposes of killing someone else or yourself, and in preventing mentally unstable people from acquiring guns.

Abortions are not sought out in emotional spur of the moment decisions, and the requirement of a waiting period is, ironically, a childish, stop-your-foot, 'I'll show you!' reaction from conservatives who can't get their way.

The waiting period also doubles the time a woman is required to take off work and the distance she must travel. The latter is a huge factor, when so many clinics have been closed by ludicrous requirements [docs needing admitting privileges at a local hospital, buildings altered to conform with freestanding surgical canter requirements]. In Texas, women may need to travel hundreds of miles - tough to do if you don't happen to have a reliable vehicle. Or any vehicle.
I wonder how many men would accept such infringement upon their medical decisions...

That doesn't really answer the YES/NO question.
Of course the father has his say. He can say whatever he wants. The decision is ultimately hers because she has bodily autonomy.

Many have said they'd have an enormous problem knowing their wife/girlfriend/significant other would consider abortion in this case. My thoughts are that this potential conflict should have been ironed out before exchanging fluids. If they were not, that's unfortunate. Her bodily autonomy overrides any opinion or conviction held by anyone else.

What about the rights of the fetus? Well, until it is viable, its rights are overridden by its host. It has no rights unless granted by its mother, because it's up to her whether or not she decides to host.

Im sure many will disagree, but at the risk of usurping the right of bodily autonomy for half of the population.

Viability in the current environment. Ok, then we just put convicted felons in scuba gear, put them in the bottom of a pool, and throw a 220 switch to the pool. Felons gone and no right for anyone to complain because they weren't viable anyway in their current environment.

More words of useless wisdom.

Arguments that equate a fetus with a person [defined as one in possession of a date of birth] make as much sense as equating an acorn with an oak tree.
If anti abortion people believe a fetus is a person, why don't they celebrate the child's date of conception, rather than the date of birth? And why do they continue to call babies newborns, if they were babies before they were born?
Most importantly, why doesn't the state offer Certificates of Official Personhood to pregnant women for their unborn babies, instead of waiting for it to be eligible for a Certificate of Live Birth?

NEW UNDERCOVER VIDEO SHOWS Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains medical director Dr. Savita Ginde discussing the importance of couching the harvesting of fetal tissue as 'research,' not 'business' — then casually poking around a petri dish of aborted remains as a colleague exclaims, 'Another boy!'

Just a headline above, you all can look up the gore and stuff, but just maybe Planned Parenthood is out the door real soon...
