This is not a political statement or post, but, I just can't take anymore of these huge corporations sucking us all dry of OUR MONEY.
Now it seems that UPS is at it again. Actually, they have been pushing this since mid-2009 at full steam pace, but little has been said, if anything in the main stream media.
Using their clout as the “biggest giver to U.S. lawmakers,” UPS hopes to slip this bailout in under the radar. UPS lobbyists have buried a short 230-word legislative bailout deep inside the FAA Reauthorization Act.
I believe while this could put a rope around the neck of FedEx Air Service, I also believe when ever a company tries to brings legislation that directly and adversely affects a competitor, that action should immediately be suspect, as a writer on Brown Bailout stated.
Go to Brown Bailout to learn more.......sure this has been quitely going on for awhile and we all know that it will take flight again in 2010!
IMHO - any bailout of any corporation creates a disturbance to the American free enterprise system. It may give one corporation a rescue line, but, it creates an unfair disadvantage to all the corporations that have played by the rules, developed solid business plans and made plans to adjust to the falling economic situations.
