Trump wanted Georgia to investigate an election so that voters weren’t disenfranchised by illegal votes and the Left wants to put people in jail for that. Wow…

So you dont think that there are too many people (on both sides) that believe that "the rules dont apply to me"?
There are to many period that think they are above the law....sadly yes there are some Republicans but far...far to many are Democrats.....and right now the Democrats are in control.

I haven't really seen a lot of examples of people on the right thinking the rules don't apply to them. Conservatives are all about law and order, follow the rules, follow the Constitution, work hard, and everything will turn out OK. Conservatives are also more "Systems" oriented, where if you follow the rules of the system, the end results, whatever they may be, will be fair. Liberals, on the other hand, are more "Goals" oriented, where the rules and methods required to achieve the goal are not as important as the goal itself, and they will change the rules on the fly to ensure the goal is met.

The Left wants to make it a crime to investigate illegal votes. But only when the other side wants to.
Here's the thing. The entire Jan 6th Committee and it's related investigations, are all predicated on the infallible ability to read Trump's mind.

Did Trump truly believe that he lost the election to Joe Biden?
Did Trump truly believe that the election was rigged and that he actually won?

If Trump truly believed that he lost the election to Biden, then Trump's actions following the election certainly look like he tried to overthrow the government.

But if he truly believed he won and the election was stolen from him, then his actions since the election are literally to right a wrong, and there's nothing even remotely illegal about that.

In order to Trump its guilty of inciting an insurrection, the professional psychics on the Jan 6th Committee have to be able to determine that not only Trump knew he lost, but that those who engaged in violent selfies at the Capitol also knew that he lost, and he and they together tried to overthrow the government anyway.

Democrats don't know what a armed insurrection is........they really should not push the people past the breaking point or they will.

Great point. Let's not forget the 2000 election and Bush v. Gore. That was a more civilized time, but how far would the Democrats have been willing to go if SCOTUS hadn't stopped the nonsensical recounts in FL?

Those Dems weren’t investigated afterwards with a partisan prosecutor empaneling a grand jury composed of 95 percent Republicans? Didn’t think so…

More about the Georgia subpoenas. This is different than a House committee. This is a properly convened grand jury conducting a criminal probe. The grand jury has already voted to issue the subpoenas. The jurors (not politicians) are unlikely to appreciate someone like Lindsey Graham fighting his subpoena saying it's all about politics. The jurors know better and they have the power to compel Graham and all others to appear.

Yeah, Trump is in real trouble with the Fulton County District Attorney. She's the first black female to hold that office, and is therefore infallible with only pure motives.

On a related note, when someone asks you to "find" something it is generally taken to mean to locate something that already exists. Find the dog, find the car keys.

If they ask you to "manufacture" something, it is taken to mean to create something that doesn't exist.

For example, if Tesla couldn't sell any cars because they ran out, would they simply go and find more cars, or would they manufacture more cars?

Trump asked Georgia election officials to find more votes. If one is to believe that what Trump really meant by "find" is "manufacture," then language has no meaning.
