The judge recused himself after the guilty plea from Flynn. Interesting
A small but important distinction, one that is often overlooked by the media, is Judge Rudolph Contreras didn't recuse himself. He was recused.

The chief judge of the District Court is the one responsible for assigning cases to the District judges (to prevent judge shopping, equally distribute case load, among other reasons),and it was this judge who recused Contreras from the Flynn case. And it's almost certainly because the chief judge was made aware by IG David Horowitz of the Strzok-Page text messages that showed the relationship.

Remembering that Strzok interviewed Flynn, the text messages that talked of orchestrating a cocktail party as "cover" for meeting with Contreras to talk about Flynn is known in legal circles as a smoking gun.

Contreras allowed a guilty plea to be entered without requiring any and all exculpatory evidence in Mueller's possession to be presented to the court. That's problematic enough. But I have a feeling that Horowitz said to the chief judge something along the lines of, "If these text messages ever become public, and I expect they will, then Contreras will be guilty of corruption and obstruction."

And just like that, Contreras was abruptly recused from the case and another judge was assigned.

John Brennan from the Deep State saying stuff to Trump on Twitter:

Rather telling, IMO.

He hasn't been much of the focus by anybody, but I've been saying all along that Brennan is deep deep into it all. He's in the mold of Allen Dulles (Brennan personal hero and first civilian director of the CIA, the guy who wrote the manual on how to run a Secret Government) who thinks the ends justify the means, and everything he does is perfectly OK because it's what's best for the country.

We now have a new one this week. Hillary had the election stolen from her by Cambridge Analytica. I cant stop laughing. Nope, no collusion, but they put out some nasty memes on Facebook. :D

As is typical of liberals, Brennan is excellent at accusing others of doing what he himself is guilty of...

Brennan ripped Trump as "mean-spirited and dishonest" and said he has "shown a lack of integrity [that] demean the office of the presidency."

Ironically, despite what Trump has said publicly about Putin, his actual actions towards Russia and Putin have done more to curtail, hinder, and piss off Putin in one year is more than Obama did in eight years.

The previous Administration(More specifically Obama's campaign in 2008 and 2012.) did similar things, but then Facebook was all open arms to them. Liberal outrage now:

For any politician, the longer you are in office, the more opponents you develop. That's because it's impossible to maintain positions on the issues that the majority agrees with all the time. As developments play out and bills are passed or defeated, the number of people a politician offends grows.

Trump is not immune from this. But he has a special problem because he is not supporting legislation or taking actions that draw new people in to support him. He caters exclusively to his base but betrays them too when he signs into law bills like the recent one that added $1.3 trillion to the national debt, and before that made comments about guns that rattled many in his base.

With the recent spending bill, former Trump supporters are saying things like:

"... his presidency just came to a screeching halt, he can GFH!!! All done with the Trump train, just got run over by it!!"

"
Trump really let us down today. With all due respect to the military, people were not shouting "Build the Military" at his rally's, they were shouting "BUILD THE WALL". Swamp dwellers McConnell and Ryan finally did it. They figured out how to split Trump's base and bring him down. Go ahead. Impeach Trump. I don't care anymore. Just primary any Republican who voted for this."

"Trump failed us, his presidency is over. We must not dwell on bemoaning what the dastard did to us. We need to quickly focus on who leads the movement now. The movement is still strong, we will prevail!"

"I see no way around the fact that Trump has handed our republic to the left on a silver platter; you'd think the left would now worship the guy. Yet, they still hate him?"

"Just the smug looks on Schumer and Pelosi is enough to know that Trump is now toast. The saddest part is that the Donald could have gone down as the BEST President in history...instead he choked."

"Now Pelosi and Schumer are just sitting back and watching Trump twist in the wind while losing supporters because of his dishonesty. He chose to do a 180 on his base and join the RINOs, who are more than happy to get rid of him."

"Do you STILL BELIEVE HIS [BS]?! Once he signed that omnibus, it was OVER for me! I'll NEVER believe another word he says! And my days of supporting ANY republican, IS OVER! I'll NEVER VOTE EVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE!!!"

"
TRUMP tweeted Friday morning that he might veto the bill and EVERYONE still left for the recess. If he would have vetoed the bill TRUMP would have shown all of them that he is running the show instead he signed a bill that gave him NOTHING. They called his bluff and he caved in. Ann [Coulter} should consider running for president because Trump is a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT and the RIGHT have lost ALL FAITH IN TRUMP. TRUMP IS DONE! IT IS OVER!"

"He lied to his entire base that elected him. It's time to learn from our mistakes and find someone else who can govern...and KEEP THEIR PROMISES."

Trump's base will continue to erode, making his impeachment more likely.

Most of the polls are showing that Trump is rising in popularity, well into the 40 percent range, from the middling 30s. despite the OmniBS bill he signed last week.

The popularity seems to coincide with Stormy Daniels and the Playboy Bunny (sounds like a Saturday morning cartoon, but I don't think it is). It makes one wonder, what might be the hypothetical number of porn stars that would have to have sex with our president to get his popularity up to, say, 50 percent or higher?

I'm thinking three. Or maybe two and another Bunny. Or some combination thereof.

Then again, if the hired hookers to pee on a Russian bed story turns out to be true, that alone might do it.

Man, Russian hookers and a another porn star or two? Whoop. The sky's the limit! :D

The Left (and, of course, the Media, but I repeat myself) are just livid that Trump appears to be about as unblackmailable as one can get. They've made stuff up, and that didn't work. They've tried the true stuff and that didn't go anywhere, either. Trump sleeps around. Nobody cares. Nobody cares because everyone knew it when they voted for him. He's been in the tabloids since the 1980s for sleeping around. When he was married to Ivana he cheater on her... with several women, including Marla Maples! When Marla caught him cheating on her when they were married, do you think she was shocked? No. Not even a little bit. Do you think Melania is shocked that Donald has been cheating on her? I don't.

Hillary really and truly did break that glass ceiling that she was after. True, she didn't win the election, but people didn't NOT vote for her because of her gender. They didn't vote for her because she was a loathsome candidate. And she won the popular vote. So she broke the glass ceiling.

Trump has also broken a glass ceiling. The glass ceiling of your personal sex life and being a dog and an unfaithful scoundrel not being a factor in doing your job as President. And The Left can't stand it. It's just one more thing, in a ridiculously long string of things, that isn't going to get him out of office. They should have given up when they tried to game the Electoral College and that didn't work. At this point they're looking foolish, if not delusional.

In the meantime, wages are up, unemployment is down, jobs are coming back from overseas, illegal immigration is down, more illegals are getting deported, after wetting their pants China (and others) is coming around on trade, ISIS is decimated. In short, he's doing what he campaigned he would do. And liberals (and a lot of conservatives) don't know how to process that.

Next up, "I'll straight up give you DACA for The Wall. OK, Democrats, vote against that. See how you do in November. Ha!"

And there's movement on North Korea. Trump made a believer out of Kim that talks would't be about figuring out a way for Kim to keep his nuclear missiles, rather talks would be about figuring out a way for Kim and the members of his regime to continue to breathe.

On June 12, 2107, I posted the following regarding Trump and the U.S. Constitution emoluments clause:

While it may be true that political motivations lie behind this suit, the suit itself voices real questions about how the constitution shall be interpreted and applied regarding a president who has the conflicting interests Trump has and maintains them as Trump does. While some argue there is no conflict, others argue the opposite. This suit, filed by the "most perfect plaintiffs," will allow the question to be properly argued and decisively resolved by the courts.

And
The question of standing will be one of the first to be decided. We'll know soon enough what the expert arguments of both sides are and what the Court decides. Whatever the outcome may be, I'm delighted to finally see these questions make it meaningfully into the courts where they can be properly argued and decided in keeping with the constitution.

Today, "Judge rules suit against Trump over foreign gifts can move forward" (Fox News)

The question of standing has been resolved in favor of the plaintiffs.

More litigation will follow, of course. I continue to watch this case with great interest because the emoluments clause issue will likely be a component in the impeachment proceedings I have predicted.

The New York judge who threw out the case previously had it right. The Constitution makes it crystal clear that the Emoluments Clause is strictly the purview of Congress. It's up to the Congress, not the Judicial Branch, to provide consent, or not, with regard to the Emoluments Clause.

More litigation will follow, of course. I continue to watch this case with great interest because the emoluments clause issue will likely be a component in the impeachment proceedings I have predicted.
Congress to this point hasn't had a problem with Trump's DC hotel. Why do you think they suddenly will at some time in the near future? Do you that one ruling from a Clinton-appointed judge, who is best known for banning the use of the word "Redskins" in his courtroom and in legal documents, will convince the requisite number of republicans in the House and Senate to bring an impeachment trial, over something that is Constitutionally the sole purview of Congress in the first place?

I think not. I believe Trump will be impeached before he has a chance to run for a second term.
I'm not so sure. It is possible, but it will have to be something new and over the top. The current MSM madness isn't enough to do it in my opinion. For this term, they actually are running out of time.

Another observation.
Actually quite brilliant on Trumps part, and has a lot to do with my personal opinion of him not being impeached. Just when he gets backed in a corner, the opposition is loud and then disappears.
Notice how quiet Pelosi and Schumer are? lol
Me thinks the democrats are afraid of Pence. Afraid of Trump but for different reasons. Trump could bang all of their wives and they would be ok with it. They talk a good game to their base, but their actions show a much different trend. Could be wrong, but they are just about out of time for any kind of impeachment scenario. If he fights it, it would take several years just to do a trial on it.
Cheap entertainment if it happens. :p
