I wish a Trump supporter could explain to me without the usual political hyperbole, how they can support a person that spews this crap.
Actions speak louder than words. Sticks and stones...

Economy going strong. Lowest unemployment rate in decades. Renegotiated NAFTA. Trade talks with China. Stock market record highs. Increased border security. Beginning of dismantling Obamacare.
You may consider this the usual political hyperbole but it has been happening despite the House being controlled by a mostly lunatic congress persons.

Donald Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives on December 18, 2019, for high crimes and misdemeanors; specifically, abuse of power and obstruction of congress. The actual Articles of Impeachment can be viewed here.
High crimes and misdemeanors? Not even close. High crimes and misdemeanors are, like, you know, actual crimes. But they couldn't find any crimes that Trump committed, so they just made 'em up.

They told him they're gonna subpoena his staff and documents and if he foolishly decided to avail himself of his Constitutional Rights by disputing the subpoenaeas and dragging the third branch of government into this, they're gonna call it Obstruction of Congress, and you in a heap o' trouble boy.

Then they came up with the gloriously genius idea of charging him with Abuse of Power. Abuse of Power isn't a crime, it's an opinion.

The House Dems have basically reduced the gravely serious impeachment of the president into a sternly worded letter. And it's so ridiculous that Nancy is skeered to even submit the written results of their temper tantrump to the Senate, because she knows she's gonna get her ass handed to her.

This may very well be the best political ad ever produced. It's only one minute, and it takes you through an entire movie arc in that short amount of time, and a full range of emotions. It's got the same three scene structure. It's got somebody at the beginning who's life gets changed. The amount of technique that went into this is astonishing. Oh, and it's all true.

At the mention of the words "Obama", "Hillary" or seeing either of them in print/video ... how long does it take male Trump supporters to get an erection?

Move on already.

"They" ....?

paranoia -

It may be an aspect of chronic personality disorder, of drug abuse, or of a serious condition such as schizophrenia in which the person loses touch with reality.

Too funny. If you replace the word "paranoia" above with the word "Hillary" the description of the affliction not only remains the same, but also becomes hilarious.

If Pelosi doesn't send articles of impeachment to Senate, thereby preventing the Senate from performing it's Constitutional duty to conduct a trial, is that obstruction of Congress? Since there is no authority for her to do that, is that abuse of her power? Is she violating the Constitution by refusing to allow a trial required by the Constitution for someone the House says violated the Constitution? Should she be impeached?

It's never happened before with an impeachment. Well, it has, once. A judge was impeached by the House, and before they could get the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate, he quit, thereby rendering moot any trial in the Senate. So they never forwarded the Articles to the Senate.

A lot of experts (you know, experts, people who used to be perts) are going to argue a lot of different things, and they all are going to think they're right, and they will all be right and wrong at the same time. SCOTUS will get involved and settle a dispute between the other two branches of government, because that's what they're there for, but I guarantee you they will be loath to get involved in a political squabble within one of the other branches.

The Constitution plainly states that the sole responsibility for impeachment lies within the House, and it doesn't tell the House how to go about it. Same thing with the Senate having the sole responsibility for the impeachment trial. Which means, the Senate cannot tell the House how to conduct an impeachment any more than the House can tell the Senate how to conduct a trial (I'm looking at you, Nancy). If the House decides not to submit the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate, there's nothing the Senate can do about it. And there's nothing SCOTUS can do about it, either. The only people outside of those in the House who can do anything about it are We The People at the ballot box in November.

The Democrats just got >owned< by the Mueller Report. All of their hopes and dreams and fantasies came crashing down upon them. Even though it's pretty clear that the Russian Collusion hoax was cooked up by Democrat operatives as a way to demonize the GOP, and entrench their power, when Trump actually won they had to go all-in with collusion. Before the election there were rumors and half-baked accusations (Putin's puppet!) but when Trump won, collusion with Russia to steal the election became the only palatable, thus viable, explanation. So when the Mueller Report turned up nothing, despite having a small army of pro-Hillary/anti-Trump investigators looking for something, anything, any kind of crime to hang Trump with, the Dems panicked and freaked out.

They dragged poor Admiral Stockdale, er, I mean, Robert Mueller in front of Congress and grilled him for some little juicy nugget they could use against Trump, which backfired spectacularly. They had to come up with something else. They knew that a whistleblower could effectively remain anonymous, if the information the whistleblower provided was deemed credible, and you could act on the information alone without having the whistleblower verify what was already deemed credible. So Adam Schiff and a couple of Democratic operatives cooked up the Quid Pro Quo Call (the whistleblower recently left the NSC to go back to the CIA, and his best bud also just left the NSC to join Adam Schiff's staff, but I'm sure that's all just coincidence). They thought they had him, finally! Trump can't question the whistleblower, because we have to go with the information alone provided by the whistleblower.

Nancy took her rightful position in the Crow's Nest of the Titanic, raised her sword, and shouted, "Full steam ahead! Begin the Impeachment Inquiry!"

Then Trump released the transcript of the call.

And the Democrats took a collective crap.

So they got nothing, they know they got nothing, and they know they've gotta find something, anything, and it needs to be Must See TV.

The paraded out a mountain of evidentiary witnesses, all of whom hate Trump, and all of whom gave witness to their personal opinion of how orange, and how bad, the man is. Schiff did not allow the Republicans to call witnesses. And the only fact that came out of all of that testimony was when Ambassador Sondland stated that Trump told him directly that he didn't want anything in exchange for the investigations of the Bidens. Must See TV quickly became Must Change the Channel TV.

They couldn't find it within themselves to just stop, table everything, take 2 steps back, and admit crushing defeat. Nope. They powered on, charging into the Valley of Death rode the 229.

At this point, being the good and faithful Catholic she purports to be, Nancy Pelosi is left with a Hail Mary. She's going to hold onto the Articles of Impeachment and ironocally keep saying over and over and over again that the Republican's are refusing to be fair and call witnesses the Democrats want to hear from, hoping that if it gets repeated long enough and for enough times that the public will believe it. The alternative is for her to hand the Articles of Impeachment over to Mitch McConnell and have to stand there and watch him do the Happy Dance.

Come on .... really!?
You guys are better off sticking with MSM, at least you'll get some facts straight.
Oh almost forgot, most of you aren't interested in real facts, just alternative facts. Well that's what the above statement is ... an alternative fact.

Dates matter ....
July 25 - the infamous phone call between Trump and Zelensky.
Aug 12 - whistleblower complaint is filed.
Sept 7 - Trump's phone call with Sondland saying he wants nothing from Zelensky.

Nothing like revising your story after your hand is caught in the cookie jar.

I know of no reason why the Senate can't conduct a trial. The articles of impeachment are known, what says Nancy has to actually deliver them. Since Senate has sole authority to conduct a trial, it should be done. McConnell should announce a date. House managers could show up if they wished. Shouldn't take long for an acquittal.

Yes, really. Everything else was opinion, assumption and conjecture. For example, in the three important dates you list above, there is no evidence that he changed his story. The accusation of him changing his story assumes mind reading by the qccusers. The evidence of the three dates above do show, however, that facts were fabricated in the whistleblower complaint.

You left out two other dates that matter.
September 30 - the date the military aid was to be released to Ukraine
September 11 - the date Trump released the aid to Ukraine.

If you have a problem, and you approach the problem rationally, with reason and logic, addressing the problem directly, then it's probably the problem itself that you're concerned about. If, however, you approach the problem emotionally, and your emotional reaction is way out of whack and over the top to what is happening (jobs, the economy, foreign policy and wars), then the problem is in reality something else entirely, and you're just taking it out on the current problem.

Trump is a bully. It's why he was elected. He's our bully, elected specifically to bully all those who have been bullying us for decades. But Democrats see in Trump the bully or bullies that tormented them during their middle and high school years. A lot of Republicans don't hate Hillary, they don't even know her. But she reminds them of one or more women they do know and hate. So Hillary becomes the recipient of that hate.

With Trump, they want revenge on all the bullies in their past. Several Democrats said as much in their 90 second speeches as they rose with a "hayvee hawt" and pretended to be sad and solemn as they announced that even if he is not removed from office he will forever be marked with the stain of Impeachment. They got their revenge. They got manure dumped on Biff. The giddiness of revenge that Nancy had to tamp down during the vote, revealed itself the next day in Nancy's own words at how Democrats had an extra spring in their step. They are happy. They got their revenge.
