Tax Exemptions for the Wealthy Bankers

EndGame

Seasoned Expediter
I would like a tax exemption plus a bail out! Those sneaky little bankers and their charities...

If inflation is not considered income then why do most Americans claim it on their taxes? If you make $30,000 a year it is not really $30,000 when you account for inflation. IRS tax rules state that inflation is NOT income...

A loophole!

OH Wait, let me ask you that you realize that this was done in 1962 and we had a different tax system with a different economy.

It does not matter whether it was done or not in 1962. History repeats itself. We have had several depressions along the way. Does that mean since we have had depressions in the past that they will not occur in the future? So what is your real point?

Tax exemptions apply in the past, present, and future. The rich get richer and the gap between the rich and poor continues to spread. Why? Because some are priviledged to tax exemptions and bail outs. Who pays in the end? Tax payers...

Tax exemptions apply in the NOW just as they did in the THEN.

Thanks for commenting.

Greg,

We have already met the Ten Planks of Communism, and as FASCISM is concerned our last President was a FASCIST.

Socialism leads to Communism. All -ism's create disorder and chaos!

Thanks

How about Capitalism?
Yup - pretty much ..... take a look around - if there isn't enough disorder and chaos in the present environment for ya, just wait a little bit.

The problem with really understanding the above is that most folks don't readily "get" the difference between free-market economics and pure Capitalism - the two aren't the same thing - not even close really.

Many folks think that what they mostly understand as the so-called "capitalistic system" is capitalism - it is not, it is really free-market economics.

Confusing the two will lead one down some really strange paths .....

Utopianism

And that's just off the top of my hedonism.

Do you actually know what fascism is? If so, please enlighten us.

Hey Hawk,

Try wikipedia here:

Fascism

..... if you're looking for the broad, general overview. And while you're at it, take note of how much of it passes for "conservative" in the current political surroundings.

You left out alcoholISM, which I have. But I haven't had a drink in a little over 22 years.
I sometimes think that I still am bothered by the "ism" part".

I know what it is, Rlent. I want to know MrG's definition. He called Bush a facist. And I know that term has a skewed definition. So how bout it, MrG? What is facism in your mind?

Obama is closer to a fascist than bush, look at what is being proposed with the media to restrict them. If bush would have been a fascist, then a lot of journalists and even newspaper editors would have been in jail and our rights would have been severely truncated.

Wait a minute EndGame, I can take a lot of "stuff" in here because it is fun to argue. One of two things are going on right now, either you are just trying to "poke a hornets nest" to see what flies out (I like to do that from time to time) OR, you are goofy!!! Please explain which? What am I talking about? The statement that you made that we have had severl "Depressions" since 1962. The last depression we had in the United States started in 1929. There have been none since. The current recession started in the third quarter last year. In old school economics, like I was taught, it took 3 consecutive quarters of negitive growth to be called a recession. If that is the case, we won't be in one untill the end of THIS quarter. The modern press likes to use two quaters to make things sound worse than they really are. What "Depressions" are you talking about? What do you define as a "depression" and where did you get your definition? Using the old apples to apples thingy, it just 'taint that bad yet. Sorry, read history. Layoutshooter

But Layout, what happened to the idea that Lincoln was shot because he opposed the federal reserve?

There are a lot of holes here. One thing that amazes me is that people learn a lot from Wikipedia and will never get it.

Yea Greg, depression and recession studies were back in the 8th grade. How do some of these people get out of school with a deploma? Or, is our education system gone that far down hill? Layoutshooter

Well Actually speaking with some kids a little bit ago I am actually feel sorry for them.

My wife's nephew is a perfect example, they dumped a lot of money into this kid's education (montisori) and have given him everything he ever wanted. He would drop his laptop and toss it in the garbage then his parents would hand him the money for a new one. He is so unequipped for the real world, he even got stuck in the snow where he is in college 700 miles away and called his ma to help him get unstuck, he is 20 years old.

He wanted to go to MIT, he ended up at MTU and he is clueless. I made suggestions to go to a school where my former empoyer would hire out of and it is perfect for what he wanted but they ignored me.

He is going to be one of those who can't think for themselves and when their 401k disaprears, he will be the loudest of the bunch that life is unfair and everyone owes him.

It is very sad. I too have run into many younger people like that. We used to use the term, spoiled. What I don't understand is them not wanting to leave home. I could not wait to get out on my own and I did come from a great home and family. The idea of being able to control my own life was just SO exciting!!!!! Shoot, I have more get up and go at 58 than many young kids have today. I started this business at 53. Most young people I know don't even THINK about starting a business. Too used to being cared for I guess. Too scared to fail. No gumption!!! Layoutshooter
