When ever I am near the Panther offices and have time I like to stop by and visit.I have always enjoyed meeting the dispatchers and putting a face with the voice.
That was untill this visit,it was on 2nd shift and when I entered the building I went straight to a supervisor and introduced myself and told them what I was doing there.she tells me that I can not stay very long and was very rude.
I will not name names but after 10 minutes she comes back and tells me time is up and I would have to leave.talking about making you feel unwelcome .its not like they where busy booking loads..
I still recommend that every one should pay at least one visit to dispatch and watch them work and get a better understanding of what they have to put up with. not only from drivers but supervisors .I am sure that this supervisor is a real pleasure to work for.
Guess that open door policy they talk about is during day shift only.this was my 3rd visit to dispatch but by far the most unpleasant visit
