Meteor showers

If you aint particular engaged (sorry, was listening to Dickens, and this phrase just cracks me up) later tonight, to early tomorrow morning, the Geminid meteor showers are going to be at their peak - worth catching, if you can.

I saw them Thur. night. What is really cool is when you are at about 12000 alt and see them. You swear there going to hit you. Star wars, no I was not taking shrooms or something in that order. I like them on my pizza!!

Cheri,
I live in Michigan and there is a tax on watching or taking meteor showers. The great leader has invoked her powers and put clouds over anyone's home that has not paid the tax. :+

Well, I didn't get to see them either - the first night, I was in Albuquerque, and the next, in Los Angeles - two places where the ambient light is overwhelming. I have sat up all night to catch the Leonids, though, and they are awesome. (But not when you're rolling!)

never took a meteor shower. is that like a neutron dance?

i did see the northern lites when on vacation up in boulder junction wi once.

well they were faint but there. couple years back.
my mother remembers seeiing them when she and my dad lived up there in '48/'49.

also saw something like the northern lites going east to west across lake michigan back in 70 or 71. i was on wilmette beach. it wasn't just my hallucination alone. there were about a hundred people who stopped and starred also.

i will make a point to try and see them. I am in Il, and the clouds are rolling in.

yes after the trucks on the road were plummeted with meteors it slowed the industry down drastically.
