Jaw dropping - How the "religion of peace" treats its daughters

Close, but not quite the same.
No one (not even Michael Jackson!) can change their race.
Everyone can (if they chose) change their religion.

Not condoning the sentiment, just sayin'.

UPDATES on this story today. This problem, like many others, shows many the politician and media personalities, once again.... CLUELESS.

If our society as a whole does not wake up to this tragedy and others surrounding the Sharia Law, we may ALL end up living under it.

islam is as much as political party as the republicans and democrats.. the religion is used for that purpose.......

Thanks for the update. I agree with you, Dieseldiva, sharia law is not kind to women.

yep its a peaceful religion ask obama!! nevermind 99% of all bombing in the world are by muslims..
Hmmm .... really ...... 99% of all bombing in the world eh ?

Would you care to hazard a guess as to the amount of ordnance the major powers (US, USSR, Great Britain, etc.) have dropped and exploded, over the last 50 years, as compared to suicide bombers ?

(You could even cut it down to the last 30 years and it would still be way lopsided, I'm quite sure)

Or the number of sorties flown, or number of military engagements ?

Maybe another guess as to the collateral damage, and/or innocent victims, whose lives were extinguished as a consequence of the above ?

How about the amount of unexploded anti-personnel ordnance (cluster bombs) that the US government has dropped in southeast Asia ..... that the US government has refused to take any responsibility for whatsoever .... and are still maiming and killing innocent civilians to this day ?

(over 380 million bomblets were dropped, and over 115 million unexploded bomblets remain on the ground, by best estimates)

One would think that a member of the United States Armed Forces (Reserve ?) would be somewhat better informed .... but maybe not .... keeping 'em ignorant and ill-informed is probably much better in terms of accomplishing "the mission" ......

Yeah ..... I pretty much figured you weren't .... however it makes little difference whether it was a war ordnance bombing .... or a single bombing of any type, by some other lunatic .... to an innocent civilian who has lost a limb, a family member or a love one, or indeed their own life itself .... all of these are still gone ....

something i read in a newspaper a few months ago.......
He wasn't asking you your source - he was asking me mine.

I never said that they were ..... I just pointed out the utter fallacy of the statement you made, as it was constructed ....

Your statement is easily observable to be false .... one merely has to look around and observe ... and not bury their head in the sand ..... or get sucked into some "my-country-right-or-wrong" nationalistic delusion .....

better yett instead of me proving it right ...lets see you prove it wrong ...
380 million cluster bomblets dropped, 115 million unexploded bomblets still lying on the field ..... figure it out ..... the numbers aren't on your side ....

BTW, I have no problem at all condemning any terrorists who engage in the killing of innocent civilians - no matter what religion they come from - it's just that my definition of what actually constitutes a terrorist might be a little broader than yours ....

A. I didn't suggest the military had anything to do with the estimates I cited (feel free to quote whatever you think I said that did make that claim)

B. Might say a little bit about your ability to understand and comprehend if you think I did make that claim ......

Condemning a religion for the actions of some of it's members is the same as comdemning a race for the actions of a few. You sir are a bigot...

Bigot?? Bigot?? No I am Far From a Bigot! And You Sir Are an Idiot if you say that Because You Don't Know Me at All enough to Say that Kind of Crap! And I am NOT about to Get Into a Battle Of Wits with an Unarmed Individual such as Yourself So Save your Breath or should I say Save Your Typing because I Really Don't weant to read anything You Have to Say!! :D

The sorce for those estimates is?
I'll cite the particular source I used for my post - with the full understanding that it then leaves it open for you (or someone else) to claim it's the Commies, or some other bogey-man enemy (real or imagined) that are behind the estimates:

Nonviolence International Southeast Asia

But the rather gruesome fact remains: that there are numerous sources (some of them fairly unbiased - like the ICRC) for estimates of the number cluster bombs used in SEA - and the estimates vary ...... most of the ones I've read about estimate the unexploded ordinance remaining on the ground in the high tens of millions ... some estimates - like the one I quoted - are in excess of of 100 million .....

BTW, apparently 60% of the victims of unexploded ordnance in SEA are children ..... I guess this is what you could call "exporting democracy" ........

And some actually wonder why we are viewed so fondly throughout the world ....
