Is Bankrupt in future for A SC company

There is a NC Expediting Company behind on their drivers pay. seems as their credit line has been reached long time ago. Some company/brokers has hinted they are 160 days plus behind in paying for loads that this company has broker out to them. Wonder how much they will save in cheating their drivers out of funds due to them and the escrow. Then reopen same "new Building" with new name and drivers. Then the new drivers will say, they pay me!!!

Please note did not put the name into the post, this way no one can say I'm bashing this company.

yes i fill they are going under they put our pay in the account and pulled the money back out this morning

I am a thinking that any other load hauled would require cash up front before I delivered the load.
A tough pill, but you don't know when they will pull out the rug.
Maybe already did based on what your post says?

I met a sprinter owner that ran for this NC carrier as well...he's owed about 2 grand. they said they'd pay him Monday then on Friday they changed up and said he'd get half the amount on Tuesday....He's at orientation for E-1 right now.

I heard the same info as OVM, from a very reliable source, [late settlements, half the amount due] and wondered does that not constitute breach of contract?
Wonder if a class action lawsuit is called for?

I was just on the phone with a driver from this carrier....apparently they are in a state of converting from bi-monthly settlements with owners ..going to weekly settlements instead....they were promised all would be caught up when the computer program was set-up.
Of course there was no mention of the carrier not paying the brokered loads becaiuse my contact would not be privy to that information being a driver.

If they were switching from a bi-weekly program to paying weekly, wouldn't that put your money in your hand faster?
Not sure why that would stall money already due?
Just an observation.

As far as companies going under be careful. Far as Pay goes

I feel your Pain the last owner I worked for paid me on a Friday then 5 days latter reached in a pulled it back. After I told him Fix the T&T or I'm gone.

I guess they thought they were Slick Oh well!!

Do your self a favor if you do have DDS make sure you use a savings account. (I DID) then once its deposited transfer it to where you need the money don't leave it in that account. (That's Exactly what I did)

Don't use a checking Account for a DDS. (I didn't)
Checking accounts usually have overdraft protection. (YUPPER)
Savings accounts don't. (right on the money)
Use a savings account and transfer the funds soon as their deposited, then if or when the knuckle head reaches in and tries to grab the money. They get not so nice of a surprise.
Like getting caught in a conibear Trap

A public wipping is due 100 Lashes with a Bullwhip will be suffice.

Any way I'm bored and Chill en here.

Subzero are you outta Orientation?
It's time to eat Klondike Bars :)

Hi Everyone. Been reading for a year or so, but just registered today. We have a truck leased out with the NC company in question. Yesterday the 2 week settlement was direct deposited into our checking account and later withdrawn. Today approximately 1/2 of the settlement was deposited in the account. Our driver said that he was notified that they were moving to weekly settlements rather than bi-monthly. As the owners of the truck you would have thought that we the contract holders would have been notified.

Having just spoken to the home office, they have moved to weekly settlements and presently now have a 3 week hold, essentially borrowing a week of revenue from all owner operator and fleet owners.

Hey Bearcat:

"Socialism:You have two cows. Give one to your neighbor"....the neighbor who already let the 2 cows he had die, by not taking care of them. If you don't give him a cow, the current administration will tax you to death for being more successful than that neighbor.

after all of in this thread, anyone that continues to drive for this carrier whether it be leased on or partner carrier needs to have their head examined

Well I've been with this "NC Company" for a few years as an
o/o and have always been treated well by them.I did my time with the Big Cat and E1 that are mentioned and I couldn't stay
loaded any where like I do here. They"got more freight and better paying freight and always treated me right. They did make some recent payroll changes ,going from bimonthly pay
to weekly pay and there were a few glitches. But they have been upfront in explaining them and helping drivers that got caught short of cash during the transition.I ve been told by the bank it was a bank error not a company error. You all can say what you want about them, but I've been with most of the other companies, you posters work for , as a fleet owner driver or owner operator and this "NC Company is the best I've ever
been with.Just thought you should Know.See ya down the road.

Yeah, and roadwarrior9's very first post ever is in defense of this NC company, completely dispelling anything negative towards the company (and desperately trying to bolster his own credibility to make it believable, trying a little too hard, which makes it unbelievable), and now, immediately after roadwarrior9's post, we have headhunter1's very first post ever attempting to discredit the original poster. Naaaa, nothing suspicious about that. No one would ever suspect that roadwarrior9 and headhunter1 is the same mid-level manager recruiter/wienie at an unnamed NC company. I know I certainly would never suspect that.
