How far from home?

This Q is based only on distance from home. Not a weekend. No special event. Just that ya had a mid week delivery & got empty in the early evening.

Example, 6PM Tuesday delivery is X amount of miles from your home. How many miles from home do you have to be for ya to decide you'll spend the nite there rather than in the truck?

I'm sort of a homing pigeon anyway, so for me I'm guessing under 120 or so & I'd just head home.

My logic is I could sit in Toledo & miss a run from Flint the next morning just as easily as I could sit in Flint & miss one from Toledo. There's other opinions of this though & that's why I'm asking.

This will change some once I get a laptop & can play some poker on the road. That 90 minutes of driving can be better spent at the tables.

I'd head home if I was within an hour any day of the week. Fridays and Saturday I'd extend it out to an hour and a half to two hours.

HAD to be home this weekend. nola to wisc.

got a couple other dates we gotta be home. end of nov for boot camp graduation at great lakes aro t'giviing, 2010 may 17th college grad, june 4th hs grad and then a road trip to idaho for a wedding. hope that comes with a load offer.............each way.

not asking for much.

otherwise gracie is fine staying on the road. she is likin' it!!

Monday to Friday I will generally wait it out anywhere unless I am in Ontario, then I head home right away as the DH pay for Toronto, Hamilton or Kitchener is the same (Kitch being home).

On the weekends....150-200 miles. Depends on where I am and if I think the prospects are, if I can get home on less fuel than what I think it will cost me in layover expenses (showers etc) I go home.

If I am in Montreal...as soon as it hits 6pm on Friday or after sitting for 24 hours there, I DH back to Kitchener (380 miles) even if FX won't pay.....I gotta quit taking loads up here.

If we are coming up on a weekend, 250 or less. ANY distance if we HAVE to be home for something important. 150 during the week, generally speaking. There are always exceptions.
