I guess paying people a wage for the work they perform is no longer enough, even for those that already have a "profit sharing program"...employee's now need to "share in the "Corporate" profits" of their employer....oh yea, those that invest and start their own business and make it profitable must share the wealth or "re-distribute" wealth....What a bunch of BS..where does this azzholes steal from the rich "robinhood" and give to the poor stop....:mad:

Obama: Corporate Profits "Have To Be Shared By American Workers"

RealClearPolitics - Video - Obama: Corporate Profits "Have To Be Shared By American Workers"

"If we're fighting to reform the tax code and increase exports, the benefits cannot just translate into greater profits and bonuses for those at the top. They have to be shared by American workers, who need to know that opening markets will lift their standard of living as well as your bottom line," President Obama told the Chamber of Commerce on Monday morning.

It's the cornerstone of Socialism and the very foundation of Marxism. You have an idea to start a business, take on all the responsibility and risk, and get it all set up, and then make every worker an equal partner, without giving them the responsibility or having them take on the risk. It's the mindset of Labor (just talk to any UAW member for more than 3 minutes) and of Marxism.

When you have a president who believes society owns everything, this is what you get. What other possibility could there be, other than he doesn't believe in private property. This is what I mean when I say that the ghost of Karl Marx would tell our illustrious president that he needs to be more reasonable in regards to private property. Obama is so far left, he's left America.

Sounds like a cool idea to me - let the employees buy stock in the company. In fact, I believe a lot of companies do that already.

Anyone can buy stock in any company that they CHOOSE to. All you need is the money for the stock. Companies are under NO obligation to provide stock to employees. They can CHOOSE to do so as a bonus. The word CHOOSE is important. NO company should be forced to go beyond paying their workers what they say they are going to for the job done. That INCLUDES not being FORCED to pay for health care.

I just don't understand this comment...I mean during halftime of the Superbowl this past sunday.,Bill O'reilly did an interview with barry (eventhough fox ixn't really a "news network", but hey thet had a huge viewership that day) when barry told Bill that he wasn't a "RE-Distributionist", but then he says that Corp."Profits must be shared with the employees...."

And now he and the MSM want the people to think he is the return of Ronald Reagan.....

I think it is time we actually force some of these corporations who make outrageous profits to share the profits with all American Workers.

Obama can take some of the Obama profit money from the Auto Companies and seed a big fund which will be paid to any American Citizen who works for someone else every year as a profit sharing check. They can also take all of that GM stock, the tens of millions of shares and give it directly to the tax payer, sidestepping the middlemen who will make more outrageous profits by handling the stock. This way we can get some of the money back into our pockets and the government doesn't have to screw us over it.

We can hit up the Unions who make money doing actually nothing except collect union dues. Teamsters and the UAW can contribute about 75% of their dues to the fund.

We can have a special tax for civil servants who make more than say $40k a year. Add that money to the fund.

THEN we can add to the list of "contributors" Entertainers of all types, including those actors and actresses, production companies and large TV/radio superstars among a lot of others. Imagine an 80% 'tax' on Oprah's $400m yearly salary and another 80% tax on her fortune would help that fund a lot. If they want to actually support a president like this, then it is a sharing thing.

Then we can hit the Billionaires who should be contributing to the nation, like Buffet and Gates to name a couple. They don't actually make money and pay taxes but just make money so their contributions to the nation will actually be to the nation, not to some one in another country through some tax shelter that they created.

40K a year is pretty low level on the civil servant food chain. That is only in the GS 7/8.

Maybe a special tax on the president, vice president and congress? A "useless" tax?

I would rather tax them than firefighters/Para medics etc.

Why not take some of the "profits" from GM & Chrysler and repay all the Companies & individuals who got SHAFTED by the Government sponsored Bankruptcy?.

Well Layout, its simple, the average wage for a worker who actually works is about $40k a year, no civil servant needs to make more than people they serve.

BUT if you want to increase their pay, then it starts with serious changes to our federal government like privatizing our intelligence gathering agencies and air traffic control, reduce the other agencies (like the FAA and FCC) while eliminating all the others that really are not needed (why do we have a department of interior, commerce and education and the TSA?) than everyone else just gets a base pay of $50k with no union representation.
