This is way we are in the situation we are in in this country...no reason to read these bills, just go along with the party and to h*ell with whats in it and how it will affect the people....and people keep electing these idiots.....

(CNSNews.com) - During his speech at a National Press Club luncheon, the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Democratic Congressman John Conyers (D-Mich.), questioned the point of lawmakers reading the health care bill.


“I love these members, they get up and say, ‘Read the bill,’” said Conyers.


“What good is reading the bill if it’s a thousand pages and you don’t have two days and two lawyers to find out what it means after you read the bill?”

Conyers is a JOKE and has been for years. He is OWNED by the same "Puppet Master" that owns Obama. There was a report today giving the percentage of money that Michigan political figures get from out of State sources. Conyers is financed by NON Michigan Residents to the tune of 97% according to Fox 2 News Detroit. Dingell to the tune of 84%. The highest ReBumLiCan was Candice Miller to the tune of 38%. One NICKLE is too much. Candidates should be representing their districts NOT a "Puppet Master". The corruption is rampent.

How about some parameters for bills? One topic, one initiative....one bill. Enough adding line items for things that have nothing to do with the issue at hand (a.k.a. pork). If something can't stand up to the vote on its own without greasing wheels, too bad.

100% CORRECT!!!

I'll add one thing into that... there should be a rule (amendment) that all bills have to be written in laymen's terms. The Constitution was written so the common man could understand it. There is no reason the law of the land held to the same standard.

I've always said when learning the US system..what is with this pork crap!

A bill is a bill...one issue, one vote, done deal..yea or nay!

A simple 1 million dollar bill turn into 2 billion dollars with all the pork...they shouldn't be buying others votes...

That is why I, and a few others in here say to vote out EVERY incumbent. I truely would like to see a REAL third party. I will write the platform!!! MAN, would THAT be FUN!!
There would NOT be enough toliets at the Capital to handle what the ReBumLiCans and Dumb-O-Crats would be doing when they read it!!!
