ALL polititions are scum. This is just ANOTHER example. I am getting very tired of the low life no character candidates we are getting now. Un-real that in this country all we can get to run are people who belong on the Jerry Springer show!!
One of the most astonishing things, at election time, is that 434 members of the House are "scum". But, if you ask about "my" representative, oh, their great, I,m gonna vote for their re-election. So, every politician is a crook, except "my" politician. Right?

Nope, I have been voting AGAINST my local, state and Federal incumbents for years. Not that is does any good. The UAW and USW unions run SE Michigan and we have NO chance of getting any kind of change around here.
I agree it is Navada's problem but it is indicitive of the overall lack of character in our candidates and the country in general. We have come to accept sleeze as normal. How sad.
Dood had an affair a year ago and now suddenly breaks the news. Since his name has been mentioned as a possible presidential candidate, he figured he'd better beat someone else to the punch and get it out there now.
He may be scum and the one admitting to having the affair, but don't discount the married woman he had the affair with. She had one, too.

i will be the 1st to admit my elected federal reps are pos liberals that i won't vote for....as for this guy, he is someone elses problem and if he is doing the job he was elected to do, then its between him and the people in his state...i voted for clinton both times...
No one sayes its ok to have a sexual affair no matter who you are, but i really don't care who is sleeping with who...just do your job.....yes i understand it goes to character, but if that was a real issue , we wouldn't have any politicians for the most part, because people with character won't take the chance to get bushwacked by the media....

Part of the problem IS the media, a big part. The rest goes to the overall sleezing of the country. Character DOES count. It these people had character we would NOT be in the mess we are in. We would NOT have the graft, fraud and corruption if we had honest people with high morals and character. Sleeping around is just ONE of the symtems of sleeze factor.

I agree that charicter does matter, but even those that get into politics for the right reason seem to get caught up in how the "system" works.....they have the right heart when they get there, but the power brokers in the party make sure that they are part of the system quick and they fall in line to get anything done, then its down hill from there...not all, but most become corrupt once the get there, if they weren't on the way up the ladder....
That is why we have to throw all the bums out in 2010. We have to take back control. We have to insist that our media starts doing their job, reporting, not working to elect. Our entire system has been perverted.
