That would be fine if they were the only ones involved. What about all the children in the school that don't understand what's going on. Changing Erica to Eric and Charles to Charleen can be confusing to them.

One thing that's apparently not being considered by not only the Boy Scouts but also most everyone else is the reaction and acceptance of a "boy" who's really a girl who thinks she's a boy by the other members of the pack or troop. In spite of all the PC protocol that misguided adults try to preach to kids of Cub Scout age, they're going to know that little Johnny is really little Susie and that there's something weird about her. As night follows day, she will not be accepted for what she claims to be by at least part - if not all - of the group and then the teasing and harassment will start.
As anyone who is a parent knows, kids that age can be merciless to anyone whom they perceive as different - especially physically different. Even overweight elementary school kids are very often teased and socially rejected, and nothing the adults say or do will change their attitude. This PC transgender nonsense being adopted by the Boy Scouts does nothing but create an unhealthy environment for not only the screwed-up kid, but also for the group upon which she is being imposed. We're witnessing the demise of one of America's great institutions, simply to appease the liberal PC nazis and a tiny percentage of the US population.

Indeed it is. It's not enough for the PC nazis to force homosexuals and sexually confused 3d graders into the Boy Scouts; the next logical step has been renewed that girls be allowed to join the Boy Scouts. This campaign has been staged before by a group of girls in 2015 in CA and most recently by NOW on behalf of a 15 year-old teenage girl who wants to break into the ranks so she can be an Eagle Scout like her brother.
So now membership in the BSA and the rank of Eagle Scout is an entitlement according to NOW and this teenage dingbat, whose father BTW is an attorney. If the BSA is going to survive as an organization with any integrity at all, they had better start standing up to these PC radicals and defending the principles which made them great. They might want to start by not allowing troops to have "unofficial" female members like the troop with which this girl has been participating. Wonder if she - and possibly some of her friends - have gone on camping trips with male scouts in their mid-teens? Imagine the possibilities
