    2 weeks notice?

I’m a van owner operator who is currently considering taking an extended leave of absence, and perhaps even quitting altogether. Is it necessary to give my carrier 2 weeks notice? I’m not sure if that’s a customary thing in this industry.

How much resale value does a used Espar have?

I'm thinking of getting an Espar for my van, but I'm also thinking that I may not be in the expediting industry for that much longer. I'm wondering if I was to buy an Espar, use it for a months and then quit expediting, how much of my money could I get back by selling the used Espar?

    Canada-Only Carriers?

I am a Canadian expeditor and as far as I know there are none. I haven't looked into it too deeply though. However, you may be able to find a company that will only get Canadian loads for you if that's what you want.

Need New Engine at 185k miles? (6800 total hours due to idling)

Hello, My 2020 Ford Transit (gas engine) has it's check engine light on and is shaking when idling. The mechanic I took it to said it was due to carbon build up in the engine and they did a fuel induction service. It helped the the shaking a little bit but not much. And the check engine light...

    Roadside Assistance

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. I figured it probably wasn't a great idea. So are you saying that I'm out of luck and I will just need to pay out of pocket for any roadside assistance that I need in the future?

    Roadside Assistance

What are my options to get roadside assistance coverage for my van? I called CAA (I'm in Ontario, CAA is the equivalent of AAA) and they don't cover commercial vehicles. Could I just tell them it's an RV and they would be none the wiser? Or would that be a bad idea?

How often should I replace engine air filter for Ford Transit 350?

How often should I replace engine air filter for a Ford Transit 350? I'm always asked if I want to change it when I get an oil change, and I never know if its really necessary or if they are just trying to squeeze cash out of me.

Removing passenger seat disables airbag system?

I had the passenger seat removed in my 2020 Ford Transit 350 and I've been told that it will disable the whole airbag system. Is this true? I turned the switch in the passenger glove compartment to turn off the passenger airbag, but the airbag light is still on in the dash. Someone suggested...

    Tax Deductions For Non-Owner Operators

Thanks for the info. A quick google search also just showed me that I can deduct showers at truck stops. Will have to remember to keep my receipts for those going forward.
