Romney held in disdain in his home state

Some try to promote it yet can't explain who exactly is going to pay for it.

Romney held in disdain in his home state

You make some valid arguements in that the tax structure at some levels need to be addressed. This is a issue with both parties. Obama's job czar Jeffery Emmelt, head of GE sends jobs to China. GE also pays no tax. You don't mention that yet it is common knowledge. The problem is you are...

    Question for Bolt drivers

When in doubt or just for educational purposes, "Trust, but verify". I can't think of another business that would operate on a percentage of revenue without some type of verification.

Even Carriers are having a hard time filling jobs.

I think any carrier basically walks a tightrope when dealing with drivers and fleet owners because they are independent contractors rather than outright employees. If a pay dispute arises, they would in most cases have to deal with who owns the truck(s). Kind of the same if a problem develops...

    Election Opinion

12 million jobs is a lofty goal but if Romney wins and taps the energy markets as he says, that will produce quite a few. Not sure about 12 million though. The only thing I have heard from Obama is hiring 50k IRS agents for Obamacare and 100k teachers. Oops....forgot about 5 or 6 more for...

    Software for Fleet Owners

We use Microsoft Excel. Easy to use. Also it is the same software that our carrier and accountant use so transfer of information is very streamline.

    Mr. President Reagan

Very true. Obama is all for this tax while Romney said he would eliminate it. Democrats act that it is against big business but the family farm is who will get shafted with this tax. Most farmers aren't going to be able to pay it so they likely will get bought out by corporate farms.

I don't have any vans but that would be my assumption. Straights and tractors would be different.

    Mr. President Reagan

If your concern is the farm or farmers, better vote for Romney. Farmers are some of the first to feel the impact of a devalued dollar. Keep a president that is bent on spending and printing money, guess who gets hurt the quickest? That dollar only has a value of .80 cents. That is why gas, food...

Abortion-should she have gotten the dealth penalty

I think you did a better job of explaining my position better than I did. It just isn't a function of government for people to feel comfy.

I can help with the first part but can't do much with the second.

Even Carriers are having a hard time filling jobs.

I always think there is a little bit of both. Some owners are ripoff artists and do everything possible to jerk the driver around. On the other side, there are new drivers without a commercial drivers license that expect the owner to provide a new truck with a large sleeper, make at least 100k...

Romney held in disdain in his home state

I think dollars control both parties so I wouldn't exempt Romney or Obama from that. Either way, either party will have to create a climate that promotes business. Right now, I don't see the democrats having the will to do that. Their answer the last four years is basically to borrow our way...

Abortion-should she have gotten the dealth penalty

The government is not designed to be all things to all people. Using substitutions for society's lack of personal responsibility is not a good thing. At no point when these things weren't provided did we have people lying in the street.

Romney held in disdain in his home state

All valid points, but business is made of investors at all levels. Their function to remain viable is to turn a profit. Sorry, but that is how it is. Since government needs business for revenue, you better have a way of attracting them. Even more so if as a government you are borrowing 40...

Romney held in disdain in his home state

Some of it is repetitive but government can't survive without business. When government tries to create business, it is a disaster. Green jobs, amtrak, postal service, and the list goes on. In a global economy you have to cater to some degree business or they just move the jobs overseas. You...

Even Carriers are having a hard time filling jobs.

Thats true. I think some get forced in to that thinking when they are under capitalized, have a truck sitting and can't make the payments if the truck was financed. Often times this is where the hemorrhaging starts.

Even Carriers are having a hard time filling jobs.

It can happen but it has been quite some time. We don't do much hiring and when we do, the likely team is going to come from existing drivers. Being around for awhile helps as it is a distinct advantage over someone with no reputation or just starting out. Very tough right now on a new startup...

It really just comes down to who is better equipped to slow the outrageous spending down. Everything else flows from that or is nothing but small distractions.
