That is what I was thinking. How closely tied medical lobbyists are to that panel will answer some of that. The other thing unconfirmed is this 15 member panel will have no medical background. Not sure if that is true or not?

I do agree they won't be making decisions on individual cases, but I am not sold on how this oversight panel is going to work. Or, I haven't heard of a good explanation. Have to wait and see. You are correct with the Palin claims. I wasn't really referencing her comments.

No not really. As it currently stands, the insurance industry followed by state and federal regs control what is decided. But make no mistake, it is still money driven. There are still alot of checks and balances and when they go to this board, those will be eliminated. Or.....there will be...

And there it comes back full circle to the question that can't get answered. "When does life begin?". And when does it not? That drives the arguments for those on both sides of the issue. Do you force someone to do something, or do you not? And at what point and by whom is that decided...
