2010 Hino 258 rollback A/C, Radio? Issue, please help. Truck down

What year is the truck? The AC switches are known to burn out, taking out it's connector and wires at the same time. Check both the radio fuse and the room light fuse. Oddly enough, the room light fuse partially powers both the radio and the AC compressor. For a 2008 truck anyway. I'm taking...

HINO 258L DEF SYSTEM REPAIR PRICING

You can bolt all of this stuff on yourself, but you'll need software to reset things and clear codes. There's a thread on here about doing burner maintenance. Those prices look realistic and I don't know of other sources besides the dealer.

2007 Hino 268 Goes into limp mode.

The most common causes of limp mode, in my experience, are VNT or EGR failure. Other things can cause this, too. Getting the codes out of the computer is essential for diagnosing.

The dpf has nothing to do with the code. If your finger turns black when you stick it in the tailpipe, the dpf is likely damaged. There are ways to protect the DPF when using the PTO extensively, but it'll require wiring stuff to the ECU and a trip to the dealer for some ecu customization...

    //// 1985 International streaming oil from the blow by tube...WHY ? ///

It has likely scuffed a piston, which would require a rebuild. Leaking injectors and overheating can cause this. Edit: Get a compression test done.

Without knowing which diagnostic codes are being set, this will be difficult to diagnose. The parts are too expensive for me to rattle off a list of things to try.

    2014 Hino Cooling Fan Problem

You have two different problems. For the blower motor, it is very often the switch that has burnt up. The wires going to the switch, and the switch's connector melt. Repair parts are available. Replace the blower motor at the same time, because when they age they start pulling more current...

Any restriction in the fuel supply will cause this code. If you had access to dealer software, you could look at historic fuel temperature, and temperatures above 200f suggest the pump has high internal leakage. I would be more quick to blame the pump rather than the injectors. But first the...

2011 GH1728 High idle and cruise control dropping out

Brake switch misadjustment or failure is the most common cause of cruise control problems, but I don't know if Australian trucks are similar to US.

2002 Hino dies when you press throttle, intermittent and not always at same throttle position

I've never heard of this problem with a TICS pump. Make 100% sure there's an uninterrupted, air-free fuel supply to the engine. Make sure the shutoff cable isn't pulling the lever at all in the run position. There may be a governor fault or a sticking fuel rack or something, but I can't...

    2012 Hino 268 Transmission

P0741 indicates a slipping torque converter clutch. Replacing the transmission is a viable repair. You might get lucky with just a torque converter, but without a lot of testing you won't know if the torque converter is at fault, or if the fault is in the transmission.

2011 GH1728 High idle and cruise control dropping out

Are you using the idle knob to control pto speed? If so, it needs to be reconfigured. The ecu needs to see that the PTO is engaged, and there are pto inputs available to do this.

These engines are not sleeved, and they have brittle rings that like to break and tear up the cylinder walls. A rebuild of this nature will probably be out-of-frame and will require sleeving of the block. There's a dead one in my yard. I got a quote for $11k to rebuild it correctly.

    2012 Hino 258 No Power

I had learned about this in class, and promptly forgot about it. So technically yes, I learned something. And that's not fair of me to claim. I've learned a ton by working with everyone on here. I've learned a lot about streamlining the troubleshooting process, since the truck isn't in front...
