    Pipe above turbo

Remove the cap and the piece inside the canister and throw them away. Install the filter and cap from a 2011-newer truck. That's it.

    Pipe above turbo

The 2008 has closed crankcase ventilation, so it's common to find oil residue throughout this piping. If you feel like the amount of residue is excessive, you can add the crankcase filter and breather cap from a 2011 and later truck.

According to the book, the def tank sensor or the engine coolant temp sensor could be faulty. Or there could be a blockage in the cooling system. Here are some values.

Hino 258 Rollback DPR Check Issues after computer reset

You need to be able to clear DPR history, which might only be possible using DX2. Check ebay for software. Has anyone had the DPF out to check it for melting? There's a good possibility that the injectors and dpf are likely bad. I want to know how hot the DPF got and its condition.

    Code P20B2

I'm in Detroit, away from my database, so I can't give you as detailed an answer as I'd like. The coolant shutoff valve controls a coolant loop through the DEF tank / injector. Keeps it from freezing. I have not seen this code in a while, which might mean that software updates have "fixed"...

Mechanical Reprogramming ECU on Hino 268

The DPF? Yes, those are costly. They often fail because of injector failure. You can buy Russian--hacked versions of Hino DX2 on eBay for $20. You will also need an interface tool like a Nexiq USB-link. Diagnostic capability is extremely important on these trucks, without these tools you'll...

Unless there's a restriction in the inlet fitting, it sounds like pump failure is likely.

What year were DOC installed on truck?

DOCs are used for heating the DPF, so pretty much everything 2008 and later has a DOC in combination with a DPF.

Canada 2008 Hino 155 hydraulic brake problems

The US doesn't have this model for 2008, nor do they use c-codes. I'll do some digging though.

    07 Hino 338 Regen temp

The exhaust brake has a specific adjustment that must be correct. With the engine warmed up and running at 980 rpm, the injection quantity should be 12mm3 higher with the brake on than off. Only adjust the adjuster that contacts the lever with the brake on. Leave the other one alone. It's...

    07 Hino 338 Regen temp

07's don't have DPF. I'm assuming you have an 08. Normal is around 1100 inlet and outlet. If you have high inlet temps (stored in system protection data), around 1300, you have an airflow problem. You won't see this during a manual regen, only during auto regen. Record then reset the temps...

    2008 Hino 338 Coolant problem

They should have done the injector cups at the same time they did the head gasket. You got screwed on that deal. And injectors just don't fail immediately. Nor does an injector job cost nearly that much. You need a diagnosis from someone who knows what they're doing.

Can’t Get Manual Regeneration To Work In My 2011 Hino 268 Tow-truck

The differential pressure sensors never go bad. You're suffering from a failure to regen completely. This can be aggravated by bad injectors. The burner itself needs a thorough investigation. Just resetting the light will not fix anything. You can buy Russian hacked dx2 off of eBay for $20. You...
