    Best/Worst years of Hino ?

2005-2007 are desirable if you can find them in good condition. No aftertreatment. Injector health wasn't as important. Everything past 2007 suffers when the injectors degrade. 2008-2010 added a DPF. There are semi-frequent complaints about low power during regen. There is lots of discussion...

Not regening while driving 2019 Hino 268

Has it had previous repair history for regen problems? Any injector/DPF replacement in its past?

Not regening while driving 2019 Hino 268

That's very interesting. What is this truck used for? How many miles?

    What kind of oil

Pretty much any name brand 15w-40 will work. Change it every 10-15k miles. I see you're from Calgary. 10w-30 diesel oil can be used when it's very cold.

I did a little googling and saw this link, and within it there's a motor repair kit. Modulator - WABCO Catalog

2013 268 - ABS Light On and Truck wont go into Overdrive

The Wabco ECU, huh? Those occasionally go bad, but I'm suspicious. Is this truck air or hydraulic brake? Do you know what codes they pulled? There is a modification they can do to divorce the ABS from the transmission. Have them look up SB-14-016 on Hinonet.

    2019 HINO 268

What are these trucks used for and do they idle frequently? The crankcase code is unusual.

    Secondary side leaks down quickly

Clamp the hoses going to the brake chambers and see if the leak stops. You're describing a bad brake chamber, leaking from the spring brake side to the service brake side

    Air brake leak

Definitely sounds like it needs a brake chamber.

    Hino recall

I looked it up. There is a recall to check the torque on the compressor discharge tube. Basically it says to put a torque wrench on it and make sure it's not leaking.

    2019 HINO 268

It should be disassembled and removed. I'd be looking for evidence of def deposits, discoloration, and erosion of the catalyst substrate. A visual inspection doesn't show everything though. If the mass airflow sensor and scr inlet temp sensor readings are plausible, def concentration and...

    2019 HINO 268

It sounds to me like the first truck needs its SCR catalyst inspected. The common failure items have been addressed. I've seen previous def injector failure flood the SCR with def, poisoning it.

    2013 Hino 268 (vibration problem)

A realistic comparison would be Hino vs DT466, MBE900, CAT 3126 or C7 and Cummins ISB. This forum exists to unravel the mystery around them. Of course people having problems are going to post.

    2013 Hino 268 (vibration problem)

I'm with Hino123, never seen either of those go bad. I've seen altered wheelbase trucks with drive line vibrations, and the same on air ride trucks with altered ride height.

If it's bobtailed, has the wheelbase been altered?

    2013 Hino 268 (vibration problem)

The balancer is a possibility. I have never seen one go bad, but that doesn't mean they last eternally. Has the check engine light ever come on with a cylinder contribution code?

    2013 Hino 268 (vibration problem)

Does the vibration follow engine rpm, or does it increase with vehicle speed? Does it have air suspension?

2007 Hino 268 -- Check Engine Light / Limp.... no codes read?

My contact at Hino suggested going back and raising hell.

2007 Hino 268 -- Check Engine Light / Limp.... no codes read?

In this case the VNT controller went bad. I'm not sure if anyone rebuilds them reliably. The few I've seen inevitably fail.
